Arrogant Aussie!
Yes you guys are good at sport but you allso have to look at the facts like Australia has over 5 times the population of New Zealand, more money and more infrastructure so it make sense they get more medals.
Bit gutted about the Womens hockey, thought NZ should of won that one.

To be honest, most top-level athletes in Canada can't afford to compete because they don't get funded by the government. It actually costs these people and their families out-of-pocket money to compete at events like the Olympics (or CG) to represent the very country that should be backing them up.

This is pretty much the first time i ever heard of the aussies dominating the olympic games.. usually UK should be near and the medal tally stops after the swimming events. And if you guys want a laugh i think aussie lost 3 gold medals. one was the 100m late dq for false start, then the girl who got second got the gold but lost it cause she was found ban substance in her blood.. so the person who got 3rd got the gold. then in wrestling we lost another gold potential cause he fliped the bird at the ref or sumthing like that, then done it again at the cycling event but this time flipping 2 fingers instead of one
its pretty funny, a few week ago aussies didnt want to goto india cause it was dangerous.. now we are killing it..must be something in the indian waters |

it was a close netball game.. still dont understand the rules of netball..i mean there shooting accuracy is really good, but they need time to aim and adjust.. i just hate the defending rule..by the looks of thing if your a shooter you just stand there with ur hands in the air and hopes the defender falls over..90% of the time i dont see a deflection but a penalty cause of the defender falling on the shooter
there are some sports out there that shouldnt even be a sport at all..netball is one of them..hahaha..synchronize diving..and equestrian |

Haha equestrian! The horses do all the work! They should get the medal not the rider. And netball isn't much better.

It was a pretty epic domination but its cg. It is really the only really major international sporting meet that australia can win medals in everything. I mean we are great athletes but australia tries a lot harder at these games than other countries...I mean bolt didnt turn up.

Haha yeah we usually dominate but it's not really a first class quality games, the roof was almost falling in at the pool. But yeah I do agree not many other countries really seemed to bother with the whole thing, traveling to Delhi was half the work.

but you have to remember no other country also celebrates athletes like the aussies do...they are like national heroes when it comes to these things. the closest thing is china? but as soon as they are done no one remembers them. |

I don't know about that. Sure, Australian athletes get a lot of support from the Government through the AIS and whatnot, but they rarely reach the level of fame and income of some athletes in different countries. For example - football players in the UK, Baseball players in the US, Ice Hockey players in Canada etc etc. Unless you're Ian Thorpe perhaps.
