Nice, you get free lift tickets? Cool bonus... my work doesn't like letting me take random powder days off like I wish they would

Hey Eric, I'm with the DoD in Hawaii. I'm headed to Tahoe in late December. Are they offering free lift tickets? How do we get them?

Right now Squaw is free for all active duty except on Saturdays, while Alpine and Homewood are always free, with no blackout dates. Sierra and Northstar gave free tickets on Sunday last year, but when I spoke with them on the phone for this season, they were undecided. I'm not sure if any place gives discount for veterans but you can always call and check. As for getting your free lift ticket, just show up to the resort. Usually there's a special ticket office or some sign pointing you on the direction to get your free lift ticket. O and homewood offers 50% for immediate family i.e. Wife and kids. Check out the other resorts for their discount. Some offer discounts, but only squaw, homewood, and alpine are offering free right now. All together, this is best discount i've ever recieved and I am extremely grateful for it!

Right now I'm giggling because I have no idea what a "cac" is in military lingo but in Vietnamese it means penis so right now what you just said sounds pretty funny. ![]() |

Thanks for the info Eric. Unfortunately, I am a DoD civilian and my friends are veterans. No active duty

phonetically it also sounds like odangs fat one for what it's worth. Glad you kids get good discounts, thanks for your service -b EDIT: funny I forgot about the auto edit, if you write c-o-c-k it apparently translates to "odangs fat one," which is what I meant to say anyway . . . . |

It's all supposed to be active duty.... but I wouldn't be surprised if you got someone that didn't know or care about the difference.
