Anyone have a snowboard to donate- I'll pay S/H

i havent shipped one yet but i hear its roughly $25. in the continental us.  could add another $5 for bigger/heavier boards, etc.

$30 ain't bad at all.  I can do with that.  Now all I need are some kind donors to get things started.

It's neither, just a hobby.  The two pictures I've posted now are on working boards.  I'm waiting for this season to test them out under snow conditions to see how well they stand to the element.  But any other nonworking board could be used for decoration and such.

Yeah, the all black one is all Sharpie.  The Forum Mini one has a combination of different kind of markers since Sharpie alone couldn't get the shading necessary to make subtle skin tones.

Wow, that's some nice work.  Do you plan to take commissions and stuff one day?  Do you paint the boards white to get a blank canvas or just use whatever blank area is available?  I've got a few old boards that've been sitting in the basement for years (keep saying I'm going to make a bench one of these days), but they each have designs that cover the entire topsheet already.

I have an old lib tech Acme board, don't even know what year, thats mostly white on top with a green pine tree on one end, and a red/pink base. I'm in Australia tho, so you might not be interested in paying that much to ship, but thought it's worth a try :)

Hey everyone, thanks for the interest in my work.  I recently went on a vacation so it's much to my surprise to find many new posts, especially as there were none for a few months before that.

Anyway, to answer some questions that was asked.  The lacquer that I used for the boards held up very well, for the most part.  The Zodd P-Line board had some chipping around the binding base after two trips, but the rest is well preserved.  Now the chipping could've been cause by a couple of reasons.  I painted the lacquer by hand, which probably isn't the best way.  The first brush I used left a lot of hairs and dusts behind, which created imperfections.  I plan to get a paint gun for paint and lacquer application which would definitely improve the quality.  Second, it was hard to dry them properly during the winter.  I had to leave a heater constantly blasting in my bathroom, as well as turning on the fan 24/7 to dry them.  If I was to do another one, it would have to be during the summer where I can leave it in my garage for drying.  The Forum Mini's status is unknown.  I asked my friend how it has fared but he hasn't replied yet.

As I mentioned before, doing commission isn't my current goal.  I'm not comfortable yet to stand behind my product and I wouldn't wanna charge anyone for something inferior in quality.  I also wouldn't know how much to charge for something like this.  A guy on Youtube charges $1500 for a commissioned piece which, depends on who you are, is a hefty sum.  He knows what he's doing so I'm sure his product is justified for the price.  I however am still learning. 

Hopefully by summer, I plan to sand down my Sierra Stunt that got messed up and redo the whole board, although I quite liked the original graphics.  I am still just looking for free boards and will pay for shipping.

Update - My friend replied and said that he had ridden the board six times and most chipping occurred at the edges from normal use.  I guess this is a success since I haven't personally inspect it.

Also I just received a free board from a local family.  Guess I'll have one more board to work with.

I'm still looking but so far no one here has offer to donate, although I don't blame them.  Packaging and sending would be something I wouldn't be interested in doing neither.  I do however post up an ad regularly on Craigslist and so far I've gotten two free boards from generous donors.  One was pretty beat up (not sure if I can even use it) but the other was in pretty good condition.  Neither of them is rideable, although the latter might be, but they'll be perfect as canvas.  

I'm not really in a hurry to get more boards at the moment since I now have three to work with.  I don't wanna go broke paying for boards with nowhere to store them.  Unless of course they're free. 

As stated before, I'm waiting for it to warm up around here to start doing work, since I'm dealing with harsh chemicals and the drying time are pretty ridiculous.
