Well I'll throw my 2 cents in... I have been listening to the entire new Panic! at the Disco cd nonstop. It's getting to te point where I'm not sure whether I really like the music or I'm addicted to it. Either way, good cd you should try it out. I'm glad I did

Tinie Tempah's latest album is pretty good. Like some of the songs and keep listening to them again and again.
For Panic and the Disco, I always found I like maybe 2-3 of the songs at most on their CDs and then don't listen to the rest. |

I'm more into hiphop myself but lately, I've been listening to a lot of creations by Ratatat. I prefer the tracks without lyrics and for some reason, it doesn't get old or boring when boarding or running. Keeps me pumped and focused. I find lyrics can sometimes pull focus away.

Damn. I've def been on an XV kick lately. I've been listening to his 'Zero Heros' mixtape, or EP, or whatever you want to call it, for a few weeks now and I just can't seem to not have it on whatever playlist I'm listing to. Literally the whole tape is dope but here's some of my favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=525cXdG1jXs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAhMSQ2TFKk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJYFypK1XhI |

soundcloud and beatport, but you have to pay for tunes on beatport. BP has got the best of all electronic based music and if you're looking into those kind of genres both of those sites are absolutely great for them!
also try UKF dubstep's youtube channel if you're looking to find out more about dubstep.. one of my favourite genres of music too. |

ummm...hmmm...ever listen to "The Books" ? they are fun. 2 very musically talented guys that mix in layers of different sounds from "found" audio, old voice mail tapes, recorders found in thrift stores, microphone to tv/talk radio. Anyways, my favorite band and think other people should listen to them. album to start off with is "lost and safe" then followed up with "the lemon of pink" hope you enjoy... |

jason aldean/ludacris - dirt road anthem remix this is why luda remains one of my favorite artists of all time. the ability to hop on this track and mesh seamlessly with the country style of the track is awesome. definitely worth a listen |

I'd definitely agree with J Cole, he's always in my playlists. Some of my older favorites include 'playground' and 'lights please'. But recently I'd recommend 'return of simba' and 'work out'. And I've listened to Bad Meets Evil's LP once over and so far its awesome; Royce has nice lyrics and a great flow. And its always great to hear Em so I'm quite pleased with everything they're doing. As far as for your third recommendation, I haven't heard of them before so I'll def check them out. |

You could try out GrooveShark. It does let you pick whatever you want to listen to, but there's also radio stations or, if you're so inclined, it'll give you suggestions of similar artists, which you can just add to your playlist. I've been using it a lot and can only recommend it! |

Got a ton of stuff to post up here tonight when I am free. But if any of you are looking for a facebook page to follow along with this one ( and please stop me if this is a rude thing to do) but i started a fan page for people to discuss music, and for me to post on as all my friends are getting sick of me taking up their news feed with videos..ahhah.

Oooooookay.
So, been listening to a pretty heavy rotation of some pretty damn poppy stuff. here are a few personal choices if you are into the whole indie-pop thing. -The thermals -Future Islands -Matt and Kim -Noah and the whale -Passion pit -And a personal favorite from my local music scene....-This Is My Suitcase. They are REAL poppy, heavy keys, and feel good/morbid lyrics. Either google them for their bandcamp page, or Youtube. If you ARE into that type of music, i made a simple YouTube playlist of those bands. Link to that is... http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD53CE1463D3F8731&feature=mh_lolz Also, got a few good suggestions from friends on some new rap/hiphop....actually more hiphop, anyways.... -P.O.S. -Doomtree -Aesop Rock -PackFM (who i have mentioned before..) -Del Tha Funky Homosapien -Mos Def -Talib Kweli (his new album is rather good) -Astronautilis (also have mentioned him before, just love his style. Think Tom Waits went a little hiphop...hahaha) -And my local spotlight pick....-Envelope (really fun, goofy lyrics/rhymes. but good) And as before, if you are interested in that style of music, do your ears a favor and check them all out. I also made a YouTube Playlist with all those rappers/artists listed, you can find it at.... http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL52CEEB9B61E3FCC4&feature=mh_lolz |

This is a new video of a local rapper, Kyle J from Cape Cod, that I have posted other works of before. But this is his most recent stuff and really worth a listen. It is a longer video but the song starts around 2 minutes if you want to skip the intro. Take a listen, let me know your opinions (listen tot he lyrics) and post some of the local artists around you. Some of these people just need to be heard.

Not bad man, not bad at all. Dudes got some pretty solid style, lyrics pretty good. Did notice a few of his videos had WAY too much filler at the begging. Also a few of the beats sounded a little to...garage band/fruityloops IMHO. Under developed, but really close to being there. Kid just needs more experience, maturity under his belt. that being said, i dig it. My personal fav. rapper/hiphop artist from my area, Columbus Ohio, is Envelope. Crazy funny white dude that is just goofy sometimes, but can flow...real well. Not "underground" but definitely not "mainstream" sound. Just a smooth dude. My personal favorite for anytime I am in a gloomy mood and want to put a smile on my face... |
