    Posted: Nov/20/2010 at 9:31am

The latest models are in agreement with some predictions in upwards of 4+ feet!! They say that it might be one of the last dumps of the year until Jan or Feb given the strong La Nina indicators and based on past years' WX performance.  Soooooo, we decided to eschew the cooking and football and subsequent cleanup and celebrate this year with rooms at the Inn for the weekend.

I guess it should be given that all riders here are thankful for the snow. I would say I'm thankful for my life but thats cheesy, so I'll just say I'm thankful I walked out of that car accident with my leg intact... so that I can BOARD.

I can't say I'm thankful for the lack of snow we have in the east.  But I am thankful for NFLX.  Not so much because of Netflix's movies but I made a bunch of money off their stock this year,

Wow, that is a hell of a forecast...even better than Tahoe this week.  Overall though, looks like everyone will have a merry turkey day at this point!

I feel you, I was in a head on head car collision last year on the way to Mammoth and needless to say, my season was over but now I'm ready for the new season even with a permanent dent in my left leg.

I'm thankful that I got to ride both Saturday and Sunday with two feet of snow each day.  It was amazing.

I'm jealous shay, no doubt about it. But I was thankful I got to ride today, even though it was man made.

Yeah...I'll probably duck through the trees and try to find like a 1ft by 1ft fresh patch on Thursday LOL

But it'll be better than anything I've been riding so far which has been Mt High so I'm thoroughly excited about this weekend.

another 9-13 inches expected Tuesday night Big smile

Edit*:  I started up a meet and ride for Friday if anyone is interested

I'm trying to suck it in...although I'm crying inside.  Gotta stay in town with family for the holidays.  Have a blast Hana and the rest of the Mammoth riders who's taking advantage of this early dump in Nov...supposedly the best dump pre-Thanksgiving weekend in 10 yrs.  Also, I read Canyon and Eagle lodges ill be open as well.
Did you google it?

Its true the lodges are expected to open, however, i think they are having trouble staffing the lifts.  No word yet about lift and run status.  BTW, dont worry, the season is just starting and this too shall pass.  I predict you will be shredding soon enough!

The lodges open Wednesday which is great news.

You might get some pow...top of the mountain hasn't opened up since the weekend storm.  So there is 7 feet of snow untouched on top still.

I am hoping I will get lucky this way in Tahoe this weekend.  I know the backside and lookout will not be open all week...well at least as of yesterday.

I would wait till then to check road conditions...road conditions now won't be the same as when you'll be going and it'll all depend on the weather.

It's like asking will it snow on 11th December...gotta wait and see LOL
