    Posted: Nov/22/2010 at 2:52pm
I have a 2009 Burton Jeremy Jones snowboard and I am wanting to put 2011 unions on it. In the unions description it says that they will work on channel boards but I need to know if it only applies to 2011 Burton channel boards. If anyone has any experience with this input would be greatly appreciated.

its only 2011 channel boards that work with the union channel disk.

you can use the previous burton channel disk in unions, though.  the only thing you need to do differently depends on whether or not you want the accelerator (union padded disk cover) to sit flat.  the old channel hardware comes up and pushes up on it, so you need to hollow out two domes for them to sit up into, so the accelerator sits flat.

Does the union ultrafear have the same accelerator as the forces. I'm thinking about getting some for my Jeremy Jones.

Don't get those. Something like forces or stiffer would be better.

yes.  might be easier because of the contacts accelerator padding, you wont necessarily need to drill the holes like you do with the other accelerator.
