   Bucket shops. 

I just discovered this magical world when my curiosity piqued on why every single travel agency on the internet was offering pretty much the same price on seoul to sapporo. 

Anyone ever used them? Any reputable no problems sites you would recommend. I reckon this would make an honest to god money saving thread for many people thinking about flying to japan, new zealand, europe, chile or canada for their respective winters. :)

	well you two are clearly no help :p Consolidators buy tickets in bulk from airlines for very large discounts, they then sell them to you the consumer less than the official FIXED (ie. price regulated fares you receive from EVERY travel agent on the web) rates. Travel agents use consolidators to hook them up with extra special unadvertised rates that you the punter will not find without a bit of know how. Hence me coming on here and asking for peoples success stories with consolidators. Its a murky underworld of cheap flights. Consider it a legal grey zone and as such approach with caution. If you can go through a travel agent who will have longstanding ties to specific consolidators and that will give you a spot of protection. Chances are, as ive come to find, you wont find this stuff yourself :) Youll more than likley have to find a travel agent with some decent ties.
