I have been very patient through this process but I'm now toally screwed.

I ordered a jacket and pants to go snowboarding for the first time. I placed the order the end of October and it got caught in the inventory move. I was fine with that but got a bit concerned a week before my trip and called customer service. They told me that it wouldn't be shipped in time and I asked for the order to be canceled. She said "ok, the order has been canceled." I didn't get a confirmation number or her name, I now realize that was a mistake.

While on my trip I got notification that my order shipped and when I got home, sure enough I had a fedex package - but my account had never been charged.

I called TruSnow and escelated a call to a manager. He told me to reject the fedex package, so I did - it was never delievered.

Since I couldn't get my stuff from trusnow in time, I bought some things local, but that put my account very low. I have a rent check and a few utilites that won't clear if they $200 is charged to my account. I let him know this and he told me that he would contact the CA office and make sure my account wasn't charged. I asked him if there was a confirmation number and he said yes, and then gave me my order number.

Today I logged into my back account and see that it has been charged to me. I just left that manager a message, but from what I can tell it takes 5-7 days to get a refund. If my rent check clears (which it will) in thoes days, I will get hit with fees from my bank for going negative. I will then get more fees for each utility, not to mention that I now have no money to buy even basic needs like food.

I am so frustated and don't know what to do. My order number is #358599.

Good luck with that.  Not to be rude, but maybe if you can't afford food, maybe you shouldn't drop hundreds of dollars on new gear and a trip.

My advice is ask your landlord to hold the rent check for a couple more days...chances are that entity will be more reasonable than if you were to hit up your bank's call centre and ask them to turf the overdraft fees.
If that doesn't work out, you could always hussy yourself out for some quick cash.  Long story short, it's not the job of TruSnow to manage your finances.

Find out how much the overdraft fees are for your bank, they are usually around $30 but you'll get knocked for each thing that puts you further negative.  Then try to get the same manager on the phone and tell you did exactly what he said, which was to reject the package and that you still got charged for it.  Then explain that you need them to also refund the overdraft fees if they don't process your refund quickly enough.  They might agree to that or find a way to expedite your refund.

I had the money for the trip and gear and plenty left for food and such, I just didn't have double the money for gear.

After my trip I was running pretty tight until my next check, but I was still fine - I had about $70-$100 left, but not $200. I don't do debt or credit cards - only cash or debit. So when my account goes negative, I really do have no money at all, including for food.

So I did have money for food and for the trip... until this happened.

I left a voicemail for the manager this morning and I have been copied on two emails he sent since then, but no resolution yet. My landlord is an apartment complex with people in the office who are powerless to hold checks or do anything special for you.

You are right, it isn't their job to manage my finiances and I never asked them too. I cancelled my order, I was told it was cancelled. They then shipped the order. I called and explained the situation and was directly told that they would not charge my account. Then they charged my account. My budgeting and financing was fine... They made a mistake.

I've never had a negative balance or overdraft fees before, so if it does hit, I think my bank might be a little forgiving, but it's hard to say.

Regardless, if my rent check goes through today, I have litteraly no money until trusnow refunds me money they told me they wouldn't charge or I get paid a week from today.

I have enough food at home to last that long - it's just knowing that you have 100% no money to buy anything, even nessesaties, that really kind of freaks me out.

I haven't yelled or screamed over the phone and I haven't flipped out or anything. I've been totally reasonable and understanding dispite over a month shipping.

To be completely fair, the manager I have been working with has been very nice and quick to help me - it just seems his help didn't take hold.

If they are able to resolve my issue I will certainly return here and praise their efforts. I just wanted to reach out for advice and probably just to vent a little.

wow ... having a 170 dollar "buffer" in your account and you say you can afford the new gear and trip? this should really be a personal lesson for you to re-evaluate what "plenty" of money left and affordability really means.

Friend: Hey, can you go Snowboarding in November if you don't have to pay for lodging or most of your gear -you just need snow pants and a jacket. The rest you can borrow.

Me: Looks kind of tight, but yea, I think I can squeese that.

I never said it wasn't a tight budget, but I can't tell you how much your comments have helpped me re-evaluate my life and how much help they have been with my issue. From now on I'll just be rich. Wow, that really solves my problems.

I normally have quite a bit in reserve, but due to a number of issues that came up right before the trip and the trip itself - yes, it did leave me scraping the bottom of the barrel. I didn't plan on going that tight, but I had already bought my jacket and pants before a couple of "emergancies" hit littaly days before I left for CO. I get paid Friday and will have an extra $600 each check for the next six months or so... Having $100 to my name in cash is very rare, but it happened. $100 was enough to cover lunches for a week until I got paid again... it was PLENTY to cover five $5 lunches... (no, it isn't PLENTY of money and I never said it was. I said it was plenty to last 1 week.)

Honestly, none of that matters even a litle bit. The point is I cancelled an order, it shipped anyway. I called and was directly told by a supervisor "We will not charge your card."and then I was charged.

Have you tried to going into the Live Chat around mid-day?  Someone was having a similar situation last week and Staff was able to clear it up in less than 10 minutes.  Chances are it's just a hold on the funds on your card and it just needs to be released.

if l were you, l would hit the bank and apply for overdraft protection of maybe 500$. if you use it the fee is only 5 compared to NSF fee of 40$ plus

They posted the refund; it should go through tonight. Sorry if was a being short, if not a smart ass, in my responce above - like I said, I'm just frustrated right now and don't really feel like explaining my finantial situation to get some help with this. I posted in customer service because I thought I might get a responce from the staff, but its ok- I'll just keep trying to get a hold of the manager I spoke about before.
