I've recently decided that I want to add a snowboard rack to my '03 Wrangler. I'm not sure if it's better to build a cargo cage/add crossbars and a roof rack or if it would be better to get a rear trailer or rear tire mounted bike rack that has a snowboard attachment. Both options would cost me a few hundred bucks.
If you have a Wrangler and you've done this, please respond otherwise please keep your points and spam to yourself! Thanks! |

i have a 2000 wrangler(with a bodykit) and i have a cargo carrier cage on top. and my buddy has a roof rack we've been trying to figure out how to get it up on there. but for right now we just put our boards on top and just tie them down and they stay on there pretty good.

Quaratec.com has all the crossbars/mounts/hitches etc I just don't know which way works better. Our boards are really expensive and I'm not trying to just "tie" them to the top of my Jeep. I don't trust that and with 4 boards it can't be safe. In regards to the boards getting dirty, it's fine the snow cleans them off and I don't mind bringing a rag to give them a wipe-down. |

I have an 01 Wrangler and am curios to board transportation.
Wouldn't putting the boards behind the car also subject the board to heat? Couldn't that mess with the board? |

By putting the boards behind the truck they are supposedly high enough to not have things kicked up on them and also centered and far enough away from the exhaust so heat wouldn't be an issue.
