Hey everyone, being stuck in the flat state pf Iowa that doesnt appreciate winter sports SUCKS. NEEEED gear and we all know how freakin spendy it is (even if you bought lowest end gear). Anyone willing to donate to our cause, please do! SUPER DUPER GOOD KHARMA for you, even some good kharma for the consideration. just lemme know. Peace
 Smaller stuff(youth) is ideal, as the girlfriend does youth work, so feel free to help the kids out, because this is the biggest thing! :

I just read a post on bearmountain.com about Arbor Collective giving away free snowboards and a season pass. On the home page, click next page at the bottom until you find the Dec. 9th post. It said something about checking out their facebook and clicking the LIKE button so you have to have a facebook going, which I don't so I can give no further details. Good luck and board on!

You can find older model snowboards for a decent price either on snowboard sites or even ebay. Or even check online classifieds in your area. That's how i sold my used gear.

agreed! we'll see if this post helps too. i figured even if it means I can somehow get an item or two that would get them up the hills faster, totally worth it. the economy sucks, boards are expensive, and lots of people have old gear sitting around. never hurts to see what you can do.

This thread makes me rage like a mofo.
This section of the forums if for people to offer up their gear for donation, not for people to ask for handouts like this. Its one thing to be asking for something small, but to come in here and ask for us to give you everything for free is absolutely insulting.
You want us to "donate to your cause", what exactly does that mean? If you are running some sort of program for sick/underpriveledged kids who want to snowboard, thats great. But if your cause is just you and your friends wanting to get everything handed to you, get outta here.

nope but thanks for your input. Philanthropy is big for college students looking to build resumes and improve the life that is around them, thanks again. Took a high schooler out this weekend because I got a deal on renting some equiptment. oh, one more time, thanks for your input
