not knowing much about the board constructions or knowing there is not much change, all i can really comment on is the graphics. Not really digging capita 2012 graphics which is too bad. Seriously digging the DC native graphic! as well as the Jones wood grain, and the matte black deck... and there's a couple of other neat graphics. the rest are just meh or not my thing. Board graphics are actually not an easy thing to just 'design', sometimes I wonder how they come up with what they want to put on the boards. I'm always intrigued by the design and construction of snowboard products.

So far the capita (sorry zoe) and NDK boards are looking really good to me, altho with all of the 2012 stuff (like the world ending) I would have thought capita would have done something with that graphic wise.

looks like the new burton mr nice guy is replacing the love. if this is the truth im thinking its gonna be my new board for next year. i liked the feel of the love when riding it, and the alice in wonderland graphics are sick. throw my purp cartels on the top to contrast the black and white and match the base.

their first production models were for the 2010 season last year.  technically the boards were around during the 2009 season when they were testing them.  and double technically they have been around for much longer because they were mostly just a nidecker stock model (forget the name) with some slight tweaks, if any.

Nidecker has been around for years and years. Very popular in Europe, not so much in the U.S., but they don't really push the U.S. market either.

The yes boards are similar to the old burton uninc, the guys that started it are all the old burton riders that mostly rode the uninc I have been riding the yes basic and it is one of my fastest boards and lightest too, it rides very similar to my 09 uninc. as far as the yes (NDK) quality it is a solid board and has yet to get any chips in the top sheet and the base has held up well too.

The only thing is that most of the Yes boards employ CamRock tech, which is unlike the un..inc, which is straight up camber.

nidecker has been a factory in europe since 1985 i believe.  a brand that comes out of that factory has all those years behind it.. the "new" part is the graphics.

seems like they started with an already existing nidecker model and added a couple of their own tweaks within the technologies that nidecker offers, like ultimate grip/etc.

true.  but besides that, something like the GDOH is pretty much a reverse camber 2008 uninc.  the typo is not as stiff and rode almost identical to my indoor fk in the same size.  but when i rode the GDOH, combined with what i know about it, its basically a reverse camber uninc through and through... which makes sense, considering the guys that started the company.

Seems like most brands are going to the flatish tip for their park boards.

I'm sure it helps prevent damage when smashing into things, its that the only reason or what?

Digging that indoor graphic and the simplicity of the Yes boards with green and blue top sheet.

That Alice in Wonderland board is a sweet graphic even though it is not my thing.

For what reason do they need "pro models"? Is that how you are going to buy your gear, based on whose name is attached to it for you to show off? It's not like "pro model" boards are better than any other board in a company's line-up.
