How much per season-

Usually i spend anywhere from 50-80 bucks per trip (gas, lift ticket, food, drinks) and i go about 1-5 times per season.

Try a working holiday? I'm planning one 2011/2012 to Canada. 

well i have a season pass that costed 300 and gas is prbably like 10 bucks and food is another 5 but i normally just bring a box of granola bars and a gatorade from home

last time we were boarding in canada we went to mt. tremblant.  EVERYTHING is pricey there and you can't get discounts on anything.  this was a pretty big shock to us since we're pretty big bargain hunters.

As a couple, I'd say we dropped around $250/day when we went to Canada a few years ago.

this season l went like 6-7x already, roughly 30-40$ each time. I think lw oudl have been better off if l spent the $ on a seasons pass instead. At least l get to expereince new hills/mountain

Such an expensive hobby, but without being too close to a mountain, I can't really get a season pass or bundle of passes to the same place since I end up going to too many different places.  All worth it though.

lifty is the way to go. I know at Bear Mountain/Snow Summit you get a season pass for free. so that take out a major expense for you. Rent a room for $200-300 from someone and you'll save more money that way.

about 1000 a year in just passes.. food and stuff i usually bring and such

I go around 10~20 times a season and I take public transit, which costs bout 30 bucks for the whole season. Another 30 for the food, 400 for the gear.

My friends are not that keen to stay for a season, they will only be joining me for a week or so. So I will probably end up paying for lodge myself for few weeks, that is going to be a killer.

Working at a mountain is great to cut out the cost of a season's pass but it's true that you don't get to snowboard that much.  I teach skiing at my mountain and teaching is better as you get to ride with the kids, and practice more basic kind of stuff while teaching, but when you get off it's usually only night skiing left and depending on how the day went you might be too damn tired to go up.  I often bring my snowboard to snowboard after a day of teaching skiing but I'll tell you right now it takes a lot of motivation to go grab your board after teaching.

$300 for a season pass at Mt High
$300-$500 for a trip to either Mammoth, Tahoe, or Colorado
$200-$300 a year for Bear or Summit

you guys are nuts!! 11k christok is like 1.5k. if it was me paying that price, l rather do some back country to save money

are we talking semi-local (i.e. - driving) or taking a full on plane trip here?  big diff between the two.  i rarely fly for a boarding vacation so i'd say i spent way less than $500/season to hit up tahoe 6-10xs.

I'd say you're better off working as a bartender/waiter in a resort town. The money is much better, and you can work nights so you can ride days.

And, living in a town with a small (but steep) mountain is very nice. My pass was $325 and there are NEVER any lift lines.

Are there public transports to and from most snow resort? Coz hiring a car will definitely kill my budget.

So far, a month of snowboarding would be about 3-5000 including accommodation, passes, food, etc

Where is OP? Also, are there any area or region that has better snow?
