I watched the slopestyle from the Dew Tour at Killington over the weekend.  Man those guys are so insane, I couldn't imagine throwing down the tricks they do.  I may try and hit up the big air competition that Denver has set-up downtown for this Wednesday night.  I will definitely be watching the X-Games this weekend as well.

I'm always excited to see the flying tomato try new stuff in the halfpipe.  I attended this event in Aspen a few years ago and saw him live and put a gold medal around his neck.

Yes, I am super pumped to watch the X Games this year too!
Oh man, that is too bad about Torstein.  Guess we won't be seeing any triple corks this time around, unless someone else unloads.
I will be interested to see the Best Method competition, I think its on Friday.  Should be some super steezy photo ops for the styly guys.

Wow, didn't hear about the best method comp.  I just read up on it-seems REALLY awesome.  But Peter Line was talking in an interview about how it's on a huge kicker, and it's obvi hard to do straight airs on huge jumps.  He was saying he'd prefer it to be on a hip, which I kind of agree with.  Then you could have two sides, one for goofy riders and one for regular riders; that would be really sweet.  Either way, I am making sure that I watch that part of the X Games-THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP BRAH!!

Torstein ripped off a huge run for slopestyle and the Dew tour but did grab his ribs afterwards so hopefully he will be ok for the X-Games.

Yeah, I hope he is okay.  Maybe that's why Shaun White didn't attend this event so close to the X-games.  That face shot he got practicing last year was pretty nasty.

I'll be watching all of winter x games. The events I'm most looking forward to is superpipe ski/snowboard and slopestyle ski/snowboard. Wonders what kind of new tricks the pros will have this year.

I find the halfpipe kind of boring after awhile, I really dig the slopestyle but I wish they have some rails mixed in between the big jumps instead of all the rails up top.  Maybe it will be setup different than this at the X-games but that'show the Dew tour had it setup.

the superpipe does get kinda boring. almost everybody is pulling sick tricks but it really comes down to technique. Slopestyle is more focused on what tricks you can pull but with technique in the backseat

If you guys haven't gotten the Winter X iphone app, you should. There have been several good articles posted in there.

Lago probably won't compete because he just broke his jaw while filming with Rice for his new movie.

You're welcome!  Is this the first year for the best method comp?  I don't remember hearing about it at all last year.
A few other comments -
1.  Yes the WinterX iPhone app is super handy and well made
2.  I don't know about ESPN on tv in Mexico, but if you try espn360.com they are showing quite a few events live online.  Unfortunately since I don't have cable TV that is how I will be catching most of the events this year.

· Snowboard Best Method – a new text-to-vote competition where the final will be 100% fan judged and voted on via text messaging. The event will feature the top six snowboarders in the world in a 10-minute jam format for best method, a fundamental trick in snowboarding where each athlete performs their own individual style.

Snowboard Best Method confirmed athletes:
Chas Guldemond
Peter Line
Jack Mitrani
Ross Powers
Mason Aguirre
Mikkel Bang
Greg Bretz
Scotty Lago

Looks like an awesome lineup.  But Ross Powers?  I didn't know that guy was still snowboarding.  Good for him though, should be interesting to see if he has old-school style or if he has updated to 2011.
