I was curious as to how many boards most people have. Do you mainly use one and the other ones or old? How many boards do you have and how often do you use them.

i sell anything extra right away.

This stuff loses value pretty fast so there is no point keeping more than 1 or 2 boards for normal skiing or boarding.

Four:  Two of them I ride actively, one I need to sell, and one Sierrascope that I probably should sell but can't really bring myself to.

I've got 5...a short twin tip, a reverse camber, an ultra stiff all-mtn, a used prototype from a local company that I bought for kiting, and my wife's old board that I also use for kiting.

I currently have one, a 160W Sierra Crew as I just gave away my old Burton Floater 59 to a friend that just started.

I'll probably pick up a softer board next year for screwing around on

I currently have three, and they're all pretty different. Thinking about one last board to fill out the quiver.

2
A big stiff one for powder days and a smaller, flexier one for hardpack days.

I actually ride my powder board about 70% more than the other, but, if we didn't get such powder dumps, I'd probably only own one smaller board

I have 4 that I currently ride.  T6 for main riding and hitting double blacks, stunt for parks and just tooling around the groomers, Reverse Crew for hitting both park and double blacks, and a P-line for end of season riding and as a loaner for buddies.  I also have a custom which has been retired and is now decorayshun.

I have two but really only ride one.  I'm looking to buy another one this off season so I will have three total with two regulars.  I want one good all-mountain / powder board and one good park board.

2. One for fun all mountain and the other for freeride specific fun.
is it just me? or is common sense not that common.

3, but I mainly use two. Of what I use, one is an all mountain, and the other is a powder board.

I have three... my Sierrascope which I primarily use to beat up on (woods around our property, early/late season, hike/ride), an Arbor Cadence that's short and fun for when it's kind of crowded and then an Arbor Push which is my freeride/powder board.

i voted three because i have three board categories i mainly ride, but i definitely have more to my name.  i try to keep it down to the boards im actually riding and then i always keep my first board ever from the late 90s, and i have a couple other older keepsake type boards.

ive got my mid stiff 158 twin, charlie slasher 58 for my all around and pow board, and then a fish 56.  pretty much always have the charlie, and since theres nothing else like a fish (no, dont say jones hovercraft), i think ill always have one of those too.  that being said, i often go through a couple boards in the "twin" category each year.  this year i started out on a 2012 rome agent rocker and then started riding a gnu riders choice c2.  i also had a charlie 64 that i hadnt ridden yet but i sold it the other day.

next year im planning on adding a split category, finally... going for the jones hovercraft split. i also want a fishcuit 150.. fish 56 packed into a 150?  can you say pow rippin pocketrocket?

Five right now
Burton Rush - This is just for early season when I don't want to risk destruction of my other board's bases. It will be phased out soon.
Burton - Fish the use is obvious
Palmer - Crown LE - for charging groomers at high speed mostly, or just days when I'm not in the trees or parks
Burton Uninc - Covers most everything else well - its getting a bit old and sadly will have to be replaced soon - need a good replacement for that one.
Burton Vapor 2009-2010 Currently in shipping - wanted to see what this board can do and really liked the Baquiat graphic.

Guess i have 6

Got my first board which was some K2 that sits in my parents storage shed.
Then I have a burton canyon 162W that got pulled out of storage shed as a back up for my recent trip to steam boat.  turns out i didn't need it.
I have a forum Peterline 155 that i used forever. prolly gonna be wall decoration.
got a stairmaster 152 that i really like
a arbor westmark 155 that i"m not a fan of riding for some reason. will go on the wall since it has the cool gun pattern.
and my most recent addition is the Ultrafear 153 which i think i like too.
The stairmaster is probably still my favorite but as i get used to the reverse camber the ultrafear is really growing on me.

I've got an Un..inc and a custom. I use the custom for more powdery days and extreme speed carving (it's a 167w) and I use the Un..inc for everything else. I have a good wishlist that I'd like to get also (like 5 boards). But dreams are dreams.

I'm picking up another board here soon, so I said 2. One will be my nice new board and the other was a hand me down, knock around board.

My buddy has 2...a nice new one and one for trying stuff out in the park that he doesn't mind getting banged up. I tried it out and could not imagine riding a new one one day and a 5+ year old one for other purposes, but I guess it all depends on how good the board is.

My old knockaround is an older rosignol and is really nice and can see myself riding it for some time to come, so my new one will be for daily and my current will be for trying out jibs and whatnot...

I have a total of 6 boards, but I only ride 3 of them.  2 are older boards that are now wall decorations since I don't ride them anymore, and the other one is for sale.  Out of the three I ride, I have a 168 Rome Notch for deep pow days, a 161 Arbor Coda for freeride, and a 158 DC MLF for all mountain (mostly park).  I ride the 158 the most.  I like having all three cause I've got something for each condition.  Somedays I ride all three depending on what the conditions are.  Find some fresh pow stashes in the early morning on the 168, ride the mountain late morning on the 161, and hit the park in the afternoon on the 158.  2 would be more than enough for me, but I got a smoking deal on the 168 from Sierra Snowboard last year and couldn't pass up a good pow board for what I paid.

5 Boards. But one of them is an old Banana-Board.
And don't think I mean anything in the direction of LibTech.

The other boards: One is old and pretty much destroyed. Another was bought cheaply for 1buck. I use it to ride on every surface no matter how bad.
The other two boards are used normally. One for the park and another one for powder.

1. 08 sierra crew that i loan out or might use for early season rockyness.
2. Sierra RC 162 for pow/all mountain
3. K2 parkstar 157 for park/screwing around

I love them all equally. Well except the old crew, she's like the red headed step child that gets beat on LOL
