Black Ops: New Maps/Double XP Weekend

UGGG everytime I see that it reminds me how far down hill the Indiana Jones franchise went.  Who knew when nukes went off they totally fried everything in a building EXCEPT the fridge?  Terrible, just terrible.

the crystal skulls movie was entertaining but nothing close to the lost arc and holy grail movies.

Plus you cant beat an Indiana Jones movie that stars Sean Connery.

played for the first time in a few months last night, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.  My buddies bitched at me for not having the newest map pack, but we kicked some ass since we had a full 6.

Have to say mw3 is tempting me with that vid. Looked and sounded like some kind of zombie mode like in black ops. Have seen a post on it in another forum but never bothered to read it. It's got me a tiny bit interested.

i prestiged 3 times in mw2, and then black ops came out.  In black ops, I prestiged once to get the extra loadout slot I never use, and then just got all the pro perks and crap.  Never prestiging again!  And definitely won't be doing it in MW3 unless there are some serious benefits.

A group of 6 decent players to play like search and destroy with. I like to play competitively instead of everyone just running around doing there own thing. Its always a huge shoot em up and who can blow up the most people.  

^^^ so that is just a full DLC pack of zombie maps?  Man they are pumping those out as fast as they can cash their checks.

so i just got an email about MW3 hardened edition, and it comes with the year subscription of COD elite.  any thoughts about whether COD elite is worth it?

Assault (Killstreaks that kill)
- Care Package (4 Kills) - Same as before
- Intelligent Munition System (IMS) (5 Kills) - Placeable landmines that cannot be stunned or flashed.
- Predator Missile (5 Kills) - Same as before
- Sentry Gun (5 Kills) - Same as before
- Precision Airstrike (6 Kills) - Same as before
- Attack Helicopter (7 Kills) - Same as before
- Little Bird Flock (7 Kills) - Mini Helicopters that patrol the map
- Little Bird Guard (9 Kills) - Big Helicopter that follows you around the map that oversees and protects you.

- Ballistic Duffel (5 Kills) - Drops the Juggernaut PERK for the whole team.
- Airdrop Trap (5 Kills) - Drops hacked care packages
- Sam Turret (8 Kills) - Same as before(Could be given a buff)
- Remote UAV (10 Kills) - Target enemies with missiles
- Advanced UAV (12 Kills) - Basically a BlackBird
- Remote Turret (12 Kills) - Sentry you control
- Stealth Bomber (14 kills) - Same as before(Could be given a buff)
- EMP (15 Kills) - Same as before
- Juggernaut Recon Armour (18 Kills) - Care Package drop of Juggernaut suit
- Escort Airdrop (18 Kills) - Same as Osprey Gunner except you don't control the gunner and drop Care Packages (4 Regular, 1 Hacked).

Specialist Killstreaks
- Extra Perk (2 Kills)
- Extra Perk (4 Kills)
- Extra Perk (6 Kills)

Deathstreaks
- Juiced (4 Deaths) - Lightweight type running
- Martyr (4 Deaths) - Same as before
- Final Stand (4 Deaths) - Same as before(not sure if you can stand back up though)
- Revenge (5 Deaths) - Last person that killed you is always visible on the mini map until your deathstreak is over.
- Stopping Power (5 Deaths) - Acts as Stopping Power for 1 Kill.
- Dead Man's Hand (5 Deaths) - You run around with C4 in your hand that can explode.


Perks

Slot One
Extreme Conditioning
- Sprint Longer Distances (climb obstacles faster)

Sleight of Hand
- Faster reloading (faster weapon swapping)

Scavenger
- Reload ammo drop dead enemies (spawn with more ammo)

Blind Eye
- Undetectable by support (Launches lock on faster, extra damage to support)

Recon
- Explosive damage shows targets on minimap. (Bullet damage shows targets)

Slot Two
Hardline
- One less for killstreak (2 Assists count as one kill towards streak)

Assassin
- Immune to UAV, Portable radar, thermal and hbeat (Immune to Counter UAV and EMP)

Overkill
- Two primaries (Second primary can be equipped with 2 attachments)

Quickdraw
- Faster ADS (Faster recovery from equipment and nade usage)

Blast Shield
- Basically Flak Jacket (Immune to stuns and flashes)

Slot Three
Sitrep
- Basically Hacker (Hear footsteps louder)

Dead Silence
- Ninja (No fall damage)

Stalker
- Faster movement while ADS (Delay claymores)

Steady Aim
- Improved hipfire accuracy (Faster ADS when sprinting)

pretty sure they had that in COD4, but they rid of it in MW2 for one man army. obviously there were people who exploited the crap out of OMA, so they probably went back to what they knew worked well.

^ this...i hate it when all a chopper gunner has to do is hold down the trigger and the opposing team dies...terribly prevalent in mw2

it's going to be like that in any game though. unless they come up with randomly generated spawns that no one could possibly figure out, people who play regularly will learn how to spawn-camp. especially when you're playing objective type matches, there's only so many places you can figure that people will spawn - especially on small maps like a nuketown.

I thought galo had decent spawning. The main thing that pisses me off is that you spawn right in the fight most of the time. If you just spawned the farthest point away(depending on the game, horseshit for like demolition) from the enemy that would help. I understand that you cant really do anything about small maps. So I guess they just need to make bigger maps

And then there's the new "Elite" feature they are releasing? I don't even like paying $60 for a new game.
