GearSlash had Grenade Standard Issue Goggles in military green for $19 today but the deal ended.  I picked up a pair, figured what the hell... for $24 ($5 for shipping) I can always use another pair of goggles.

I use GearScan.com and monitor it throughout the day looking for good deals.  Goggle deals pop up fairly often.  I have seen some pretty good deals on Spy, Electric, Von Zip goggles in the past.

Be careful with how "cheap" you want them.  It may leave you with a foggy day of riding.  I bought a cheap pair at first thinking it was no big deal...I spend half the day trying to keep them from fogging up.

true, and used goggle lenses are usually already scratched...add to that the scratching that will invariably happen with your own riding and you could have some pretty lousy goggles pretty quick.

new or used, if they don't come with soft case or, at least, a bag, I'd spend a little more for goggles that do

I have a pair of scotts. don't recall what I paid but I think it was about $30 at a gear swap, never used so no scratches or anything. Scotts are usually pretty good quality for a cheaper price.

I was ready to shell out ~$100 on some goggles when I went to Sports Basement a month ago, since my anon figments don't really fit my face and constantly fogged. Turned out there were some $35 Smiths that fit perfectly, so I bought one with a dark lens and one with light for less than I wanted to spend on a single pair. Score!

Get the anon figments, they have nice anti-fog technology and they look good but at the same time they are very inexpensive.

I got some 2011 Anon Realms with a Red Solex Mirror lens for $63 on ebay.  I'm not sure how that happened, but they're nice goggles.  Your best bet is definitely to look to get some expensive goggles on sale as opposed to seeking out goggles that have a cheap retail price.  You sort of get what you pay for.  Some lenses are worthless.

I bought the oakley O frame goggles for $45 pre-season, the MSRP on the oakley site is $55 which is still great on a budget. Bought them in white/(Black iridium or permission lense not sure which) works great during the day and pretty decent at night (unless you're riding in the shadows of a glade or something) they never fog up.
So if you're tight on cash I'd recommend those. They sell them in regular fit and smaller faced fit.

Spy Zed's quality goggles for a decent price. Or Soldiers if you can get a pair on sale are just as good, or even better depending on your face shape

I have Uvex goggles from 2000. Any advantages to getting new goggles over those?

oakley splice and crowbars are not cheap.  But you'd find it very satisfying (design and quality)
$100 for a pair of goggles you can use for 5 seasons + if you take care of them.
