^ The 1999 game model was good (Starcraft and Starcraft II). The current DLC model is sticking around because there's too many people out there with too much money.
Borderlands was great and worth every penny, but I refused to get sucked into their DLCs. I won't be surprised if the upcoming Bulletstorm will have DLCs in the future (and I'll refuse to buy into it again!) :( |

i'm with you kenmanh. dlc is a scam. not paying for that besides i'm mostly playing COD anyway and a full new game comes out so often it is not woth it.

I am not a fan of DLC. I wont participate in their schemes to take my money. I hardly buy any games anymore, if I do its on Steam and extremely discounted. I got like 6 games over christmas break for like 25 bucks. I've been rockin my computer for games since my PS2 went out of style. I'm gona get a xbox though just so I have a convenient way to watch netflix. The games I'll get for the xbox are only sports games, fps I'm still hooked on the keyboard to shoot people and a joystick to fly with.

that picture is pretty hilarious. at one point i thought it was a joke that people paid full-price for games online and download content because u dont actually have the physical game (like a CD). now with steam and live and psn, it's unavoidable.

Excited for all the new PS3 games coming out this year, plus I've tapped out on COD Black Ops. After hearing a bout Noob Saibot, I'm pretty pumped about Mortal Kombat.

I was playing League of Legends just before and I realise their business model is my favourite :) I think it's called Micro Payments model (popular with some MMOs).
League of Legends is a free game (full game) to download and play, but if you want certains costumes for your Champions you can buy it for a small sum of cash. Or if you want an XP boost for a few days, you can buy that too. Apparently, the company is doing very well. |

I've been into the xbox kinect. Could use some fine tuning on the sensor but i definitely enjoy it more than the wii.

hey i wouldnt buy an xbox just to stream netflix after a couple months you'll get board theres plenty of television shows up to watch but the selection of movies blow lots of really old movies i have no interest in watching or crappy b movies...well thats my take on it

Black Ops is still fun for me cuz I harldy play. With the big maps, I like running around like a mad man with dual PM63's with Marathon. Small clips and different aim, so I get killed a lot more. All in good fun. Feels like Forrest Gump "I just felt like run-ning."
Im thinking about running just using Ballistic Knife and Tomahawk just for the heck of it. I might need scavenger for that tho. |

thanks for the vid. didnt know thats how kinect worked. a buddy of mine helps with programming for xbox and he couldnt stop raving about kinect when it was near its release. after playing dance central with a few family members i'll agree its way more fun than the wii.

Totally agree, I would rather do that or run around with my Fal and shoot the hell out of people than sit and hide in a corner and camp all game long. I just don't see how they stay entertained doing that.
