i would probably say it's safe to guess that the version being sold is the us version, can't you just get one of those power converter plugs?

Thats cool and not bad of a deal, but I picked everything up besides the p-tex sticks for like 35 bucks.  I have a brick of wax that was $25 that will last for long time, a $6 iron and some brillo pads from the made in China store, and a slab of plexiglass for a scraper that I got from the hardware store for like $1.50.  Only other things i need is the p-tex and a edge tuner, and when I do get them my total will still be under $55.

I don't even have a board yet and I'm thinking about picking this up since it's such a good deal...thanks for the heads up.

Dammit.  I just bought it -- zero self-control.  If anything, gives me an excuse to use up the remaining $2.16 I had sitting on an Amazon gift card.

probably, but I currently dont have a power transformer (needs to be stepped down from 220 to 110v) and I know that the euro version is avail for sale in the US.....

that and I dont wanna just use a plug converter and risk frying the iron or tripping a breaker every 2 min.

the best investment i made was getting an actual thick scraper for $8.. the plexiglass from home depot worked, but it's so much faster with a legit scraper

I have the regular version which is the same just without the iron, it's great has most everything you need. Just buy some more wax. And yeah it's probably worth the extra $9 (compared to the $45 regular kit) even if you already have an old house iron, their flat iron will make it a lot easier to spread the wax.

Dead deal, im sure amazon would have it that price again later.

I got mine the other day, its a U.S. version. I think ebay however has some cheap european version.

I like my ten dollar K-Mart iron.  It works great.  I don't think I've spent that much on supplies and my board is always waxed just right.  To have a kit is cool though.
