doenst matter who gets elected.... our gov't favors minority parties.... which is why it is so difficult to have any president make any real strides... there's always opposition and everything ends in a gridlock at the expense of the american people...

Obama v. Romney for shore.  I think they're going to trot out Rubio for VP.  Rubes would help tilt Florida in their favor assuming he doesn't embarrass himself in the Senate over the next year, and the repubs will suspect he might help slow down their hemorrhaging support among Latino voters.

At least it's not gotten as bad as it was with bush and his party taking shots at him.

It's seems like there are a lot of conservatives.

Remember, it's not all Obama fault. Laws and other things are proposed and passed through congress.

The reason things aren't being accomplished is because both parties won't compromise.

i don't think that's the case...i think it's more so the other way around in that even though Obama had ALL THE POWER to change anything, not a whole lot , of his big plans, were accomplished or ended in compromises that barely looked like the earlier promise.

otherwise, i agree with appmtns04 for the most part. the gridlock at our expense is pretty dull...

Each party has to give and take.

More than that we need to accomplish something for our country, as one. Not as a specific political party.

I wonder who the next president will bomb?  Its like a right of passage, for a U.S. president to bomb some country.

speaking of the republicans gunning for that seat..........so far, everyone sounds like a laughing stock...come on, sara palin? trump?

despite everyone who has announced some kind of candidacy, i heard there was a homosexual republican gunning for the spot now (almost sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?). i don't remember his name but he helped out in GWB's campaign...back when GWB said he wasn't into nation building and all that war stuff...(i like how that turned out /s)

People need to stop voting Republican vs. Democrat!!! It's driving this country under.

Why can't someone just vote for who they think will be the best...people are so predigest.

Agreed buddy. Party lines are kind of pointless now. People should be voting for someone that you believe will best serve the country and you. Its dumb and pointless when people just vote along party-lines. They basically don't care at all what is going to happen and just blindly vote.

Due to the two party system creating tension between people, the elections will be held November 6 and 7, 2012. The Republicans vote on the 6th and the Democrats on the 7th.

having been a history major in college i lost all hope in politics and those who define themselves by it. i then had some small sense of hope with obama and what he stood for. that was until i read an article about the ceo's and financial tycoons that were chiefly responsible for our financial meltdown and how they were essentially protected by obama because they had monetary connections to him and his campain. it's all just sickening. it doesn't matter whether it's left, right, liberal, conservative, or moderate, it's twisted.

... must we post the interviews palin did with katie couric during the last election? i'd be scared as hell for someone that stupid to run a country as prominent and powerful as this one. granted, obama may not be doing the best job, and sure he may not win again, but we must consider a couple things: 1. he's sure as hell better than what she would be 2. what do you expect from a president in 4 short years when he takes office when the nation is F'd up?

and seriously? trump? granted, he may be an innovative businessman, but before apprentice's success... dude was losing money like crazy on all his real estate ventures. if he is a realistic candidate, we might as well throw in arnold and willis and norris... shoot, how bout i throw in another one... HARRISON FORD!!! anyone recall AF1? or how bout Han Solo? dude is a pimp! hahaha.

How is it that people are still so in love with Obama? What has he done since getting elected? The national debt has increased by nearly 4 trillion since he took office, unemployment is still over 9%, gas prices are averaging over $4 a gallon, we are still in two wars that he claimed he would withdraw troops from, and gitmo is still open and he claimed he would be closing it.

Lets also not forget that he also started bombing another country that was no threat to our country. Didn't everyone claim the last President did that? I guess it is okay though since Obama is not a Republican.

As for him "catching" Bin Laden, all he did was give the okay. This was years in the making. Yes I will say good job to him for not giving up looking but he does not deserve all the credit.

He didn't catch bin Laden, he strangled bin Laden with his bare hands, squeezing the life out of that worthless turd-burglar.

Well, at least that's what the Dems want you to think.

l believe it was 3 yrs already. but the main reason people dont notice was because he didnt do anything significant since bush created so much debt for us, to the point where he cant do anything or reform. the most significant contribution he did was push for public healthcare

^ yea real significant. obama has added more debt then bush in the 2 terms. looked at the poles just this morning 35% of americans agree with how he has handled are economic problem. get the liberals out office so they stop giving away money to POS in this country that havent worked a day in there life.

but hey obama is now a great leader cuz he got osama..... i think he went back to his ancient tracking roots from wherever he is from to find him.

yeah he added more debt, but economic downturn which started in bush era had to be saved by him, it cant be helped. and the war he can't outright stop and retreat troops counter to bush's promises. so imo its totally acceptable

so what if bush started the debt. bush had to work with 9/11 and katrina enough said. because u could totally come back and say well now obama killed osama and just created problems for the next pres. and explain how throwing money at pointless programs to "stimulate" are economy really worked out..... yea. the obama admin. has now created more problems than probably ever can be fixed

I guess none of you saw the republican national debate on fox last night? None of the people mentioned on this forum were there, no romney, no palin, no trump. the only one mentioned was ron paul, do your own research dont go by the news, the news media will bash any person they dont like because they can the united states needs to know, dont base your facts off of one TV channel get your info from multiple sources read the news on the internet, dont rely on just fox or cnn to tell you everything you need to know. and for the record ron paul and rick santorum got a lot of applause, last night, make an educated decision and not a biased one. I personally will not be voting for Obama in the next election but i may not vote for the republican guy either if i dont like him or her, but i will be sure when the primarys come along i will be well educated and so should you.
It comes and it goes, get it while it lasts.

AJD13 I agree. Do your research. I didn't watch the debates, but unfortunately you never know who to trust. They all say they will do wonders for our country, but when they get into office, they don't really do Amy of what they promissed. I'll do my research and go from there. I can't believe it's already almost 4 years since Obama got elected.

Good point, but who got us in this mess in the first place...BUSH ADMINISTRATION.
-Everyone tries to throw all the blame on Obama.  He wasn't given much to work with and he's trying to dig us out of a big hole.

Maybe he could be doing some stuff differently but it's hard to have all the right answers.
