What I paid per gallon for 93 octane in South Carolina Saturday, was only 3 cents more than 87 octane in North Carolina. True story. Ridiculous that gas prices are that much different just because of a state line.

..but the difference in gasoline tax per gallon is about that much....57.6cents in NC and 35.2cents in SC.

I was in downtown San Jose over the weekend and gas prices were $4.35 per gallon at the Chevron station.

I work in Lakewood and the Conoco next to where I work is at $3.67. Down in Highlands Ranch it's even more expensive.

I just filled up my tank this past weekend, $4.39 a gallon for 93 Premium. NYC.
Mountain Creek, Camelback, Windham, Hunter, Stratton, Mount Snow, Okemo, Killington, Stowe, Mont Tremblant, Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highland, Whistler/Blackcomb

I filled up my minivan today at $4.32/gallon and the total ended up being over $50. Why do cars use so much gas so quickly?

Creeping down thankfully.  All along I-80 in CA, gas was ~$3.90.  I happily used my Safeway reward and filled up at $3.39/gallon thanks to 60 cents off.

^ Dunno what part of Canada you're in because I'm paying about $1.30 per litre for 87 octane. (roughly $4.92 per gallon)

you would think gas prices will plummet since summer is officially over,ended up filling my tank for 4.23 @ Chevron even if you try to look around this is about the average just everywhere in socal.
