Crazy advertisement playing tricks on you at my local gas station. You think you're getting a low price but only to find out the price is for those that option to get a car wash.

$2.90 ?!?! Wow! So not the case in the Seattle area.
I paid $3.25 about 12 hours ago, at the Shell station south of Federal Way, near the Indian reservation. (Gas is usually cheapest there, I think because there's less federal tax. But that's just a guess. I ought to ask them sometime.) The good news is that it looks like gas prices here are continuing to go down.

The Shell I've been going to has gas for $3.23 now -- still going down.
But I found an Arco on 15th in Auburn that has gas for $3.21. It's a little off my usual path, but I'll definitely be filling up there when I'm in the area.
I'm a little confused about gas prices going down now. Don't they usually go up in the winter, due to demand for heating oil? (I'm not complaining! Just confused.)

3.39 in central illinois, not great but it's under 4 so I am thankful for that. When gas keeps going up I just find myself riding my bike to more places than I normally would

At least you're not paying California prices. My Seattle friend was like damn, our prices are hella high compared to Seattle.

Gas is $3.12 at the Safeway in Renton (just south of Seattle). My gf says it's been that price for 3 or 4 days. But it doesn't offer you the usual "member's discount" of 3¢ or 10¢ per gallon, depending on how much shtuff you've been buying from Safeway in the past couple months. I guess they figure the regular price is low enough already.
Yeah Angry, I am happy to not be paying $3.50 - $4.00 per gallon! Not sure why gas is so much more expensive in CA -- more state tax?

@mike-de-tacoma, Safeway got sued by independent gas station owners and can no longer offer that members' discount. However, they can still do the rewards for shopping (the 10 cents off for every $100 spent.) $3.49 at the closest Safeway gas station to me, but I think I have 50 cents off built up!

$2.91 for 87 octane at Sam's Club. $2.95 per gallon at Shell.
