Alright everybody, what boards have caught your eye that are coming in 2012. I have seen some sweet boards coming out from SIA pics and wanted to see what boards people are anxious to get released. The 2012 Capita snowboard of death is looking really nice next year.

I was pretty hyped for the agent rocker but now I'm hyped for the mod rocker. I need me a new all mountain freestyle board.

The only thing I am getting for sure next year is a split board/system for my wife to get her off the snowshoes -- which means I get new SparkR&D Blaze's since my medium Fuze's are getting kicked down to her and I'm getting new in size large.  I've been holding out hope that I could find her an end of season deal this year, but damm if they is NOTHING on sale, and very little I can find even left available in the low 150's that I think she could ride.  WHich all means she could be getting a super bad-ass board at full price early next season (or more likely that I'm just paying full price for the Voile kit, but she'll like that too)

-b
P.S.  Hate to burst your bubble but I'm not sure if there IS a new custom v-rocker, gieeskeke, better see if you can find a 2010 left somewhere (mine is killer, BTW) . . . .

I am interested in the BSOD as well...anyone got a picture of it for next year? Are they sticking with the same modified profile that they went with this year?

I'm getting a 2012 T.Rice HP 161.5 and possibly a 164.5 if I can swing it. I also want to get a Jones Solution 164, or a Prior BC Split 165.

I will still keep my 2011 T.Rice and save the 2012 until I can't use the 2011 anymore. If I get either of the splits, im gonna drop my Jones Flagship.

Other than that, I might end up getting some 2012 Burton CO2s (if there are any) and I wanna try on some DC Status boots for a bit stiffer boot than the SLX and Ion.

Do you guys get new boards every year? What do you do with your old boards, keep them, sell them... And why do you get new boards every year? Wear out the old ones, break them...

I just bought my first new board after keeping my last one for about 9 years. Granted I don't get much use out of it. Living in the midwest allows boards to last longer I guess.

I ride about 20 days a year, and I'll ride a board around 3 years.  even though 50-60 days won't absolutely KILL a board, it's long enough that I find myself really excited about buying a new toy.  I just put about 40 days on a board over the last 2.5 years, and I just bought a new one-but I plan on riding both.  I'm gonna ride my old board early/late season since the base is already pretty messed up, so as to not shred my brand new board.  Also, they're different enough that they both have purposes.  My old board is camber and feels like it has a faster base-also stiffer.  My new board is longer and hybrid camber/reverse camber, so I float better in pow.  Getting another board next year would be to replace my old board, moving to fully camber/reverse camber hybrids and would give me a softish "park" board and a stiffer board to shred the whole mountain, but both would be long enough to float in pow.

Plus it's fun to buy new sh!t, hahahahaa

haha! last night, i crap you not, i was dreaming about this board trying to get hold of it so i could demo it but my stupid cousin wouldnt let me use it. I have absolutely no intention of buying it in real life, so no idea why i was so frantic about testing it :)

PS. I dont dream about snowboarding usually.

PPS. Though im in 2 minds because my quiver killer was a lot of fun last weekend, im still probably buying the riot this time. Not even waiting for midseason sales. :) Straight out dropping cash on it and thats that. :)

(though i dont love the graphic in truth).

Oooh! and saying that, if the enemy+++ happens to be cheap i might go for that instead.

I will unfortunately moving this summer and anticipate that I will not be riding anywhere near as much as I have the last few years.  That being said - I do need a new pair of boots and would like to pick up some 32 Focus BOAs.   I'm pretty well set on boards.

i've been thinking about one too.  all the rocker craziness just makes me want to go back to camber and forget about everything else.. it's purely just a mental reason.  but also, i only ride non tapered boards on groomers.  any time theres pow, i'm riding charlie or the fish.... and on groomers mostly what i do is ride fast, slash, and ollie little features.  the NAS concept is exactly what i want.

i've never gotten a new board because i needed it.  it's just cause i can and i don't lose money on it.

I might update my bataleons, too.  Next years ET is supposed to be a little lighter, some new tech, etc.  Thinking about the new undisputed, too - my locust is still in relatively good shape for 3 seasons of tree riding and rock dropping, but I don't want to wait too late to sell it...if I can afford the new undisputed

I will be getting a 155 Capita Horrorscope FK with some Union Forces or the Ultrafear Union/Capita collab. I already have a regular camber all mountain board, but I want park only board, so reverse camber would be nice.

here is a bigger picture with base shown.

I just demoed the Never Summer Proto CT, Evo, and SL today and I have to say I really like the Proto CT. It just felt right. Though, due to financial reasons I don't think I'm going to get it, and my current board is still in good shape. So maybe in 2013.

Ton of Capita love in this thread.  I'm not feeling the new BSOD design too much though.  For that one I think I prefer the stark black art that looks like a Slayer album cover.

Since I'm a bottom-feeder, the new 2012 boards coming out means that I might try to hunt down a cheap used 2011 Charlie Slasher if I can get my mitts on one.

word. yeah its super fun for everything.my FCG is such a nice board cause its reliable. i know itll hold an edge rippin on hardpack grooms or power me out of a backseat pow landing. its even my go to pow board with the stance set all the way back (floats very good. id almost swear it was tapered some days) but its my park board too when i center it up. ahh camber how i love it. in a world of confused rocker and reverse camber people.

couldn't hurt to try. and if i really can't get into it again it's not like it's hard for me to get a different board.  might as well.

if i could ride i would try one of our 2011 quiverkillers for the rest of the season..

It's hard to consider buying 2012 when all the price drops happen at end of season. For instance, I never thought I'd own a Vapor... well I was wrong. Proud owner of 2010! :p I may just fall for a LibTech next year though.
