At least Clemson and USC have easy games with teams like UAB and VCU who shouldnt have been there over teams like Colorado or VT, so its not all that bad...it just sucks they have only 1 day to recover between games (play Tues then again on Thurs), they should have spaced it a little better

As much as the teams they will be playing to get into the tournament suck, Clemson and USC still have hard games right after entering. 1 day rest isn't all that bad, but they may still not be up to their best.

The extra teams to make it 68 is ridiculous and what causes these stupid play-in games, why change something that is one of the most beloved things in the entirety of sports?

Why are you complaining? I go to CU and you have no idea how upset people are here. The first time we have a decent basketball team we get robbed at our shot at the tourney. Our team is good this year because of our seniors, and we will be loosing them next year. I don't think we are going to be good enough to get to the tourney any other year, and we haven't gone in forever so everyone here feels like we got robbed. Lunardi gave us an At-Large bid in his predicted bracket and we didn't even end up making the cut. A #1 seed in the NIT is just a slap to the face... Ouch

That's how I feel about VT.  Except we have been robbed 3 of the last 4 years.  85 out of 87 experts had VT in their brackets according to one of the guys on I think ESPN yesterday, I can't remember cause I was switching between ESPN and CBS.  And our team always gives up somewhere in the NIT, normally the 2nd or 3rd round.  I just feel bad for our seniors, being robbed three years.

Oh yeah I am so pissed about that decision. I like UNC a lot but my second favorite team is VT and I am completely outraged. It's ridiculous how some of those teams can get in that don't beat anyone in the top 25 and they beat Duke when they were #1. The tournament is supposed to be exciting and have upsets. VT is probably the best team for upset alert and could be a Cinderella team.

Yeah, I think Colorado and VT have a pretty good argument that one of them could have gotten in over UAB.  I'm not sure how they snuck in.

Big ND fan and it's tough to have them beating Kansas in the Elite 8 and as you mentioned above they were up by 16 on Louisville in the Big East Tournament and blew it by only shooting 28% in the second half. I can see them beating anyone when they're on.

No go on Purdue, I think the got a generous ranking.  I do have Duke as well and I'm starting to question that decision.

ND has a good team this year, but they are a shooting team, which makes me think twice about them.

I think Pitt has a good chance making it to the final 4 judging by their bracket, and the way they play ball.

We are one day closer to the Second Round. I really think that the 2 best teams in the bracket are Kansas and Ohio State. If Duke can figure out this Kyrie Erving thing out they may be really good too.

UAB got in because they won their conference. Not much the selection committee could do about that.
[correction] UAB won the conference regular season title, which does not give them an automatic bid. But that's probably why they got in. Regardless, they did not represent well. Dead

The UNC-A/UA-LR was good tho... going to overtime. Just the luck of the draw. Hopefully at least one of the games tonight is a good one.

im not too surprised USC lost, they werent that great of a team...i do agree there will be A LOT of upsets this year, this is the one year im not completely confident about my bracket getting me at least top 5 in my pool...there is a good chance i will either get first or last haha

Why didn't CU make it in?  I could have sworn I saw a news story that said CU made it but CSU didn't.

I made that upset pick, but boy it was close. I'd actually heard that some of the Morehead State players in the off season play against some of the Louisville players and are actually better. I guess they showed a little bit of that. Gotta love the upsets. Not sure they'll win next round tho.

Yeah I didn't have time to go into the TruSnow bracket either. But I hope Marquette wins tonight as well as UNC.

Ended up 12 and 4 on opening day of the tourny. This is my first year doing a bracket, so far so good! Penn State and Louisville I had going another round though...
