They got two ski resorts. Bansko being the best one. It's amazing, loads of runs. season finished 2 days ago now though.
Back to sunny Britain! :)

2nd pic looks pretty bare/peppery on the edge of the run (man-made snow?).  There's also a serious looking fence to keep people from going in the trees...no bueno.  Given the benefit of the doubt, that could be one of the lower parts of the mtn/beginner runs(?)

can't be too bad: Bansko's lifts go to 8400 ft (even though the mtn peaks 9000 ft).  Hikeables are probably good and the backside (northside) of that mtn is probably excellent.  Some of the groomers also look ridiculously long...although maybe a bit flat/boring (maybe for x-country)

notice there's an even higher mtn (over 9500 ft) just to the north, with more interesting looking terrain ...might have been a better place to build a resort.

yup, that was the lower part of the mountain, still a red though, it connects to a black run at the very top which you can't see.
I wasn't taken to learn there though, I was taken to the very top.....

A lift takes you to the top, and then there is a short hike to the VERY top, when you can go either straight over, or down either side. but, 3 people did last season going off peak. Its VERY dangerous, you'll just end up at the bottom of the valley. Plenty to do on the slopes given, a nice hour and a half from top to the bowl. and then a 20 minute ski road down to the bottom instead of the Gondola.

How was the trip?

Bulgaria is amazing. I want to go back. If your bored, you just walk up a mountain.

Alot different to shitty Cardiff...

I learnt how to Parallel ski in four days, but next season I plan on snowboarding.

Which should be a lot of fun!

Only part i didnt go down was the off peaks and the black diamond.

really good resort.

280 leva for a 5 day ski pass. so about 125 pound, 140 euro?
My ski rental was 4 days for 100 leva with the 5th day free. So 43 pound/50ish euro for that.
Accommodation was 300 euros for 10 nights. for 2 people. and i think for 3 sharing its 300 euro too.

Foods really cheap too. depending on where you go though, if you go on the mountain its 20 leva for a meal..
but in the town its 20 leva for everyones food all together...

Glad you had a good time.  I'd love to travel abroad for a board trip sometime... besides a bus to Canada.  Luckily we have a lot of things that are within the US that are pretty spectacular.
When you planning on going back?
