yeah i have to agree kb and mouse is the way to go man. i hate tapping that joystick on te xbox or ps controller.. but relaly what they shoudl have is FPS on kinect! how mad would that be!!!

is it free? lolz.. i've only tried that once right?

also should we create a general AU/NZ talk topic instead of using the 2011AUS/NZ season? season is over.. LOL and it's typically only us 4 posting.

nah you cant
code is linked into your account
since ive got other games on the account as well as my dets
not a good idea to sell the account

was almost tempted to buy the kinect but
lack of games/use plus my room is too small

free coaching not the boarding
apparently 2hours and youll be smashed
so see how that goes
probably right since i do no upper body training at all lol

we probably could but just start a 2012 season instead =p

Keen to start a 2012 season anticipatory thread! 6.75 months to go for me.. And this weekend is seven months til season open!

I've been a bit quiet - Sat my last ever uni exam three weeks ago, and managed to scrape through a pass in the exam by 0.4 of a mark. I had passed the assessments but we still need to pass the 70% exam overall. Stoked, so I graduate in December.

Started my new job.. Actually, I'm working 4 jobs at the moment.. So cashing up for 2012 so I can rent a unit for the season rather than get stuck in staff accomm again! Japan plans fell through - Car insurance/rego was more than I anticipated and monthly pays with my new job stuffed me around, so gonna have to settle for early snowfalls.. Here's hoping!

Shad: pass is a pass LOL
good luck on final exam

4 jobs... how are you even juggling it!

rego/greenslip is the worse
just jacked up prices every year which you are forced to pay
those poofs are being investigated !!
anyways shop around it pays off

bf3 uses origin or orion...i forget what its called
i use steam for other stuff like tf2

I scored a job with the other big accounting firm in town. Working for the enemy! It's not too hard to manage, surprisingly! Helps I ditched the bf when I was up at Falls, so have all the time in the world now. Working days finishing at 5 at my accounting job, then nights (and the odd weekend) doing 2 different casual jobs and then back to Falls every few weekends.

Haha, the countdown has been on since the day we all left! Most of my friends from Falls have knicked off to Canada/Japan/US already... It's killing me, going from riding every day to nothing.

Renting is ridiculously expensive! Between 18-20k for a 1-2br unit for the season... So something like $200-250/week depending on where you can get. Hopefully I'll be able to split it with between 4-8 on my mates returning. You have to pay up front as well, which makes it hard.

Yeah NSW rego is BS. I'm 22, and my CTP is more than my comprehensive, go figure! Makes me so angry, every year. I'm with AAMI because they're well and truly the cheapest.. But we've found that even if you call up and just ask what they can do on your comprehensive, you can generally get at least $20-$30 off - It all counts!!

Thanks guys - Stoked on the exam! This subject had something like a 70% fail rate, so 0.4 of a mark is everything! In my case, P's really do mean degrees!

ditching bf always clears up alot of time LOL

upfront rent for the whole season??!
damn thats big investment

i usually change CTP every year
they dont give you any sense of loyalty discount only introductory 1st year discount
seems mentally challenged to me to not try keep customers

yeah...end of the day no one really looks at your degree after your first job
definitely not your marks you received in the degree

its mainly just your last job that counts

oh yeah i think u mentioned about that accouting thinng last time.

i'm coutning down to korea! hehe =P

hmm are you in vic or NSW? i'm with aami too, i find that they are easy to deal with when claiming...hum do you find u get a cheaper price changing? because doesn't aami give u discount the longer you have been with them? same with racv?

in the end, most companies just look at ur degree.. and not ur grade so u'll  be right Tongue

ditching bf = extra time and money!! haha

Korea won is pretty good right now
should be good spending!

Wilz thats only for comprehensive which i dont buy - its just not worth buying comprehensive vs the value of my car..may be different for your rotary lol though aftermarket parts are generally not covered in standard premium

i do 3rd party property damage
which covers me if i manage to smack a m3 or something rather expensive **knock wood**

for CTP it IS beneficial to re-quote every year
government approved....should be a vic equivalent i would assume

i save about 200 bucks a year just switching

it's ok.. i don' have any after market parts yet.. quite happy with it atm.. although i had to buy a cargo tray from the US for like 150 bux.. such a rip off on shipping.. shipping was more exp than the cargo tray itself!! and mazda here don't sell it!

i was reading that going.. woahh u have an M3... and no insurance?? LOL obviously i read that wrong..

lucky for me i'm 25.. so insruance is a little lower.. no need for me to pay under 25 premium

not a bad idea though.. shopping around.. i might try that for my property insurance.. atm i'm going with a broker.. and they just do watever...everything's just so expensive these days :(

I"m assuming ur talking about in AUS and not NZ

well, there's only the typical ones. Buller, hotham, falls in VIC (dont' bother with baw baw or lake mountain). Buller is good for short drives but prob get's less coverage than hotham or falls. hotham & falls are both great places to stay for boarding and staying. i personally prefer falls as i believe it's less crowded and better for boarding.

shadow will be able to tell u a bit more about falls since she was there all season...

not too sure aobut NSW. i'm sure hum will be able to tell you more there.

EDIT: ok i just looked at ur profile. and you are no where near AUS or NZ. AUS is pretty poor for snow if you're coming from overseas (sorry if anyone disagrees with me, but it's true). U sure u havn't posted under the wrong topic?

complain to mazda
im sure they can bring one in

may cost about the same as you buying it yourself though lol

im pretty sure he meant east coast in the states
as there is no west coast for boarding anyway lol

NZ isnt big enough to be talking about east/west LOL

I've been working my arse off at work!!! But that's okay.... unfortunately .. I don't think I'll be able to go to Canadia at the start of next year either!!!! Also the g/f will be hopfully starting her new in aug next year which means possibly I will be going by myself to NZ, which I don't mind! =)

Defo want to go to Canadia in 2013 tho'.

I am sooo missing the damn snow.... also did I mention I put on 10kg's from coming back from 10 days boarding non stop and my appetite not going down!! bloody hell! Just in time for summer too! =(

Cry ahhh well.. we'll see how it goes...

dont worry grunge....xmas break coming up
you do get a break dont you? LOL
day goes faster when your busy anyway

i had that weight issue coming back from Japan
spend so much energy daily you consume heaps to match (well i know i did....massive lunches and dinners)

then you come back to normal living you still consume the same amount without the exercise lol
also doesnt help i stopped regular bike riding

sucks to hear about korean snowboarding is hard to organise
i might settle for one also

I'm in the pharmaceutical industry

Haha schoolies? I'm a lot too old for that!

Officially graduate uni on 16 December, stoked on that

I'm still here! Been crazy busy with work the past few weeks. Accountants are busy with everyone trying to get stuff done before Christmas/BAS deadlines; and the pubs are going mental with businesses trying to book in Christmas parties already. We're already breaking 200 meals for 3 hour lunch and dinner service on the quiet nights; Friday/Saturday we're even busier since all four levels of the pub (bistro, 2 function rooms and a rooftop fine dining area) are open and booked out!

Went up to Canberra Friday night for Foreshore. Awesome festival, amazing acts - Saw Gotye, Boy & Bear, Gypsy and the Cat, LMFAO, Armin van Buuren, Architecture in Helsinki, Datsik.. etc. Weather was putrid, but still an awesome weekend.

Since I can't afford Japan, I booked a trip up to Queensland for the Christmas break. Week and a half all up, six nights in Brissie and four in Noosa. Going to spend most of it catching up with the Falls crew!

Missing the snow here too. Had a mate skype me this morning from Canada. Just tore muscles in his leg so he's not sure whether to stay or go.

Hey Wilz, I haven't quite kept up with your Korea plans - How does a trip to Korea compare with NZ/Japan price wise?

Hum - Yeah he's not stoked. Pretty sure he went and got painkillers/brace today. He initially did it at Falls at it mustn't have healed 100%.

hum: well if you stay in seoul, you can bus it to all mountains quite easily.. but it'll take about 2hr each trip.. lol wasted time if u ask me.

ahh enjoying pharm? dont' know much about pharm, but i've started distributing/using for this thing call herbalife who provide protein shakes.. and diet, vitamin stuff, heard of it?

Shads: haha sorry i 4got schoolie is year 12 thing.. haha.. i was thinking similar like on holidays after graduating from uni.. ahh qld.. see that's kinda like schoolies? LOL sounds like an awesome plan.

ouch to ur friend, that must suck.

in terms of price, airfare was 1.6k to korea and NZ was like 600. acc for snow in korea is more exp, i looked at average about 50 p/night pp. i booked NZ 8month in advanced though at Mantra in QT so got an awesome deal with an awesome 2 bedroom appartment. Acc for the snow is expensive in korea, and hard to book. we ended up booking greenpia which has a traditional room (ie sleep on floor). although i paid similar price, in terms of space i think looks bigger and better (at least with beds). It'll report how it is like after my trip.
lift tickets seem similar priced.

used trip advisor a LOT! where u planning to go next for snow?

Haha.. yeah.. I get a break..... but I don't want a break I want snow...
thinking about going to Canada in Jan.. but unless I want to go there for only 1 week... I may have to give it up.
I dunno... Maybe I'll save for the year after...?  I will have NZ next year after all....
Dont' have enough leave so will have to negotiate with the boss's boss... =)

And yes, I am in the building industry.... after moving across from land sales....

Funny thing tho', g/f wants to go to Canada or Korea, but not Japan..... *shrug*

and no i dont get freebies ....actually i dont know what half my stuff even looks like

dont deal with other peoples brands and over the counter stuff
thats some other department

enjoy...its a job at the end of the day...not much difference to any other ive had

Grunge: same issue
if i can go for trip..its only max 1 week
so going anywhere overseas is just not worth doing for 1 week

i would still go Japan ...i freaking love the place but yeah 2 years in a row and 3 in total
time to venture elsewhere

Wow that sounds amazing Wilz - You're gonna have a blast! I guess that would price it fairly similar to Japan then (if you go for dorm accom and Hak>Nis)

I think you get three or six months for the binding voucher anyway, don't you? But I guess they won't get anything new in now til Aug/Sept next year!

Anyone been to City Snow Park yet? Really keen to go.. Not keen to lug a board down all the way from home to find out they're closed again..

Next snow's lookin like Season 2012 Falls for me. Think I might try wakeboarding over summer - Need a board fix, and longboarding/skateboarding isn't really that big here.. It's still kinda looked down upon and none of my mates here are into anything board-wise.

Haha Wilz: I had the same problem.. i just won goggles but now.. there's no goggles I can have that I want, and the voucher's just expired....  All good tho', I already have 4 goggles tho'.

As for the handyman... sorry no contacts, as I'm not on that end of things... maybe see if you can find a handyman... doesn't seem like a specialized job... so maybe you can get someone... whereabouts are you living? SE Melb? That's where I am, I can ask around.

Hum: Yeah... so looks like I will have to wait.. but even if I wait... let's just say I get 2 weeks for NZ. That means I may not be able to go to Canadia again next year! Do'h! =(
Damn leave!!! I should've tried to work for myself! =P

Shad, it looks like Snowpark is closed down due to $$ probs.... for now anyways... let you know if I hear news, then we can organize Vic TS snowpark trip.
(Dang. I'm obsessed with organizing things.)
BTW, you folks on facespace?

working for yourself sucks more
if you dont work you dont get paid LOL

so holiday = cost of going + cost of not working for holiday
double costs!

yeah snowpark running into $$$ probs
shame cause really wanted it to work for something similar to happen in sydney

looks like will need to hold out until all seasons opens

Awww yeah, I saw that when I checked it out just after I posted - Bad luck! Though it does look like they're literally building mountains a the other one near Melton that's using Snowflex rather than man made snow! Either way.. That'd be rad!

Yupp.. And on it far too much.

snowpark, is that the snowflex stuff?
and what is facespace? a rip off facebook? i'm hardly on facebook anyway.
