Yeah all I can say is I hope McCourt get ousted and soon! I think the Dodgers will rebound nicely this year though and contend for their division title.

I ope the Red Sox can make a run at it this year and maybe take home the title. Everyone is saying that they are going to be really good and I hope they will. I'm going up in April sometime to see them play at Fenway Park.

It's that time of year again. A fresh coat of wax on my snowboard and stored away in a cool, dry place. Wash and put away the hockey pads, store the rest of the hockey equipment. Dust off the golf clubs and baseball gear (I coach Little League).
The Detroit Tigers travel to the Bronx to open the season, Verlander vs. Sabathia. Temps in the low 40's with a good chance of rain. Not ideal opening day conditions, the batters will be struggling today. By the way, this post bumped me up to the 1,000 point plateau. Congrats to me.

Can't wait for the games. I have to settle for listening while at work today though and I'm missing the opening pitch because of a meeting. Ugh. At least I'm capping the day off and going to a Bruins game.

Hell's yeah, wash 'em once a year. Take them to the Wash N' Fluff, put them in the large industrial washer and come back in 30 minutes. Have you ever been in a hockey locker room sitting next to the guy who doesn't even air out his pads after a game? Smells worse than death. Actually, you can be as far away as possible in the locker room and still smell his pads.

I throw my pads in the front-loader washer once in a while. My MOM used to do it for me all the time, now my gear smells way worse than it did when I was younger hahahaha. Oh yeah, GIANTS GONNA REPEAT YEAHHHHHHH. |

man, good thing i looked it up. i was about to make this forum but didn't want to make a duplicate. i used the search bar but it didn't produce anything. anyways, as much of a baseball fan as i am, not really caring too much about this season. mariners still blow because our ownership and front office are a buncha idiots and im not intrigued enough by any other stories out there for me to want to root for any particular team. with that said, as usual: go braves! and down with the yankees! haha. |

Yankees off to a nice start, glad to see it. Gotta say that the Yankee fan in me hates the Phillies, but gotta support the family and my cousin's a Philly so better them than the Mets. I'm thinking it'll be Phillies/Giants in the NLCS again and it'll be Yankees/Red Sox in the ALCS. That's assuming that the Phillies stay healthy since they spent themselves kind of thin. Giants/Yankees in the WS with Yankees on top. See everybody in 161 games.

I just don't get why anyone cares about opening day. I like baseball and everything, but it's hard to care about the first game of the season on April 1. They play 161 more games, so I have trouble convincing myself that it matters. We also got about a foot of snow today, so it just doesn't seem like baseball season.

to me, the beginning of baseball season is good and the end is good. the middle is ehhhh, the dog days of summer. it's better than the wnba which is the only other thing on during the summer.
