That was one of the most entertaining games I've seen in a long while. Can't wait for game 7!

I picked the Cardinals earlier in the thread and I am glad I haven't been proven wrong yet. I will never forgive the Rangers for losing to the Giants last year and making me suffer so much gloating from my SF friends.

That game was ridiculous. Back and forth the whole time with some errors that shouldn't have happened.

Rangers choked, big time. 1 out away from being champs, twice (I think). Fail.

Rangers need to learn how to finish in tight situations... that wasn't good on their part. And Freese's HR was bomb, that ball cut through the wind like nothing was gonna stop it short of the fences.

Like I said before, hope St Louis sends Bruce Bochy a thank u card for winning the all star game and getting them home field. Every fan loves a game 7.

No kidding. They could have been hoisting the Trophy last night. Unfortunately I think that St. Louis has the momentum now and will probably take the series. I'm pulling for Texas though, I hate La Russa. |

SUCH A STUPID RULE. Let's help determine the "world champion" in an exhibition game, that sounds like a good idea yea! |

Cards all the way now.
How do you blow the lead with one out left? And I was kind of rooting for the Rangers to win now I think momentum is with the Cards.

EVEN THOUGH i am a giants fan, i think it would be embarrassing to watch the rangers lose again...so i'm kinda cheering for them, lol
ON THE OTHER HAND, it would be GREAT to see the home team advantage win! this series is making it self out to be pretty exciting! |

^If you have the chance, you have to go out on top. I wonder how much longer LaRussa would have coached if they had lost.

Wonder what LaRussa being gone will mean (if anything) for keeping Fat Albert around. That chunk of change is going to hurt somebody . . . .

How will the Cards bounce back with LaRussa leaving, that's a lot of experience lost and he helped bring them back because they were the Wild Card.

Not surprised LaRussa called it quits....I think Pujols is St Louis but he supposedly turned down 200 million over 9 yrs. Now thats selfish... |

I can't believe they gave CC that kind of money. He is a great pitcher, but his season wasn't that good this year.

i think the CC signing has more to do with the fear of losing him to a division rival than anything else.

Who in the division has the money at this point though? The Blue Jays might have made a run at him, but couldn't beat the Yankees and the Sox would've just made a few bids to drive the price up for the Yankees. |

Papelbon got some good cash to head to Philly. Obviously he's good, but I guess I just don't understand handing that much cash to a closer. Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay throw complete games anyway.

^ $50 million for 4 years? Sheee-it, I'm going to have my 8 year old work on his curve ball, slider and change up when I get home today.
Philly has some deep pockets, that's a lot of dough for a closer. Does that mean Madson moves into the setup role or leaves Philly?
