hahaha mainly by looking at the related videos on youtube. i have a huge collection of dnb (Drum and Bass) but if i posted all my dubstep it would be crazy too. if your interested in dnb i can list artists but check out these dubstep artists first Doctor P DJ Fresh Nero Flux pavillion Chase & Status Noisia Ill start out with some more songs: (lol this is becoming quite a long post) (that videos pretty heavy) *phew* that was a lot of stuff after watching those two videos you should know a lot more artists.

I am still not to sure of dubstep yet. I like all sorts of music, listening to yo-yo ma and apocalytica at the moment, but there are definitely some dubstep songs I like. I am really particular about how songs sound, and I guess I haven't found the right gear to really let me enjoy dubstep. Btw aside from youtube, are these songs for sale in flac format?

Can't believe nobody mentioned Chrispy yet. He's how I got into dubstep a lot more. It's more of a crossover approach with remixes of other song genres.
These songs have been on blast in my speakers the past few days... Skrillex and an amazing producer, but such a horrible DJ. I debated on seeing him live, but this swayed me not to. Bor-ring to watch. Not to mention the sudden stop in music. |

Maan I have to laugh at this. I mean, I've been really liking and getting into this dubstep stuff, but going to see it live?? Kind of lame... It's like "Hey guys, come watch me jump up and down and smoke a cigarette while I play this song I made on my Macintosh." Its awesome to listen to, but its no live show. When is the last time you were at a show and someones drums stopped making noise in the middle of a song?

wow, that was really bad, even the changover to the la roux(i think) song was so average. i agree, awesome producer but that was below par for a dj, its not like he was even mixing - just playing songs straight off a computer and then playing around with the lazers and lighting.. anybody could do that.

Yeah I may have jumped the gun a little bit basing my opinion solely on that skillrex vid that C4 posted. The Rusko Netsky remix above it had a way cooler live atmosphere vibe than the Skrillex one did.

I'm sure most Dibstep DJ's know how to mix or at least rock a crowd. Take Rusko for example - giving the crown a slight taste of bassy delight before totally dropping it. So, there is hope in Dubstep live shows.
