Spring has arrived with high temps and so has the slushfest!  Heavenly was so icy this morning that it would have been better to bring ice skates.  By noon, it was slush city.  Fun nonetheless!  Is it becoming slushy in your area?

Durango was like this 3 weeks ago. Riding moguls was hard enough, let alone slushy moguls. It was even worse on the front side where all the vacationers were. I wasn't even sure it could be called snowboarding. It was more along the lines of surfing with a snowboard.

I was in Utah and it seemed to drop a bit in the cities. I wish I had time to ride down there this weekend but the storm is headed up to Jackson. So I don't think I will have slush this week.

slushy day at sierra today!  but no worries-we were super hungover anyway.  So we just had a mellow cruiser day, kind of a fun change of pace from all the crazy pow i got the last couple of weeks.

My crew I ride with said it was a little slushy at Kirkwood also. I couldn't go, but I'll heading up next week so I'm sure it will be even worse then. Can't really complain though since we had so many consecutive pow days. We got spoiled.

It's getting slushy in VT too. Just came back last weekend, and there's some slush. But after today its probably slush city because its been the temps have definitely been going up. No qualms with Spring, but I'm going to miss boarding.

This is the first year I've kind of enjoyed the slush, not like the powder we've been seeing but its just as easy to carve and play. The whole "someone just pulled the e-brake" is no good though. That and those sneaky ice patches.Thumbs Down I'd rather ride that than those cold "no fresh snow for two weeks" days.

Yeah, I am in that boat. All the ski areas in the southeast are shut down. Nothing left. I would love to have some slush.

But I did get in a very solid week in tahoe two weeks back. Hopefully that will keep the itch away for a little while.

We have had nothing but slush here in CT. The rain has definitely put a damper on any riding. Plus most places close by the end of March around here, so our season is basically over.

It was 60 at Northstar on Wednesday... 65 at Kirkwood Thursday... it felt like boarding through wet cement! I could feel my board getting stuck... but can't beat boarding in a tank top..

AND... my oh my.. what a view... never seen so many bikini's / bra's on the slopes before... love it!!!

Meadows was 16 degrees and dumping the driest stuff I'd seen all year.  With the wind going, I had fresh tracks all day long.  On the downside, the biodiesel in our shuttle's fuel lines froze and we had to wait for a replacement bus.  Crazy April.

Bear, Summit, Mt High and Snow Valley are so slushy it's ridiculous. Like someone already mentioned...it's hotter in the mountains than the beach cities

Same, after that storm the week before, I was hoping things would still be ok. But I guess spring is really starting to kick in now.

we had slush a month ago! And it was no fun because it had been so warm literally there were patches of the ground (mud) showing. Messes up your board pretty bad and if you hit that stuff fast have fun falling.

it was painfully slow when i rode kirkwood thurs & fri. About 60 degrees on the mountain, and it was almost unrideable after 1pm.

It's supposed to snow again on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. So this upcoming weekend should be good.

Spring conditions can be fun too. I was up this weekend and it was kind of fun to slow zoom on the sunny slush interspersed with the icy shaded areas.

Early in the morning, when everything was ice was not fun. When the surface is seemingly pristinely flat and there are no track marks to be found on the ground even with people digging in, it's too icy for me!

the only thing i hate more then slush is total ice. slush is super slow, wet and annoying, always forms big piles of slush and is just a pain. it gets even worse when you start seein patches of mud. o well snowboard for me is over this season. in another month or two wakeboarding starts tho.

They last few days I road started off real nice.  The closer it got to noon, one o'clock it got slushy.  It was all good though, because I had some good sessions in the slush.  I like to try some tricks I haven't tried before because the snow becomes a little more forgiving.

Slush isn't too bad, just sucks when it suction sticks you out of nowhere. Still it's a good time boarding in a t-shirt, except I forgot to put sunscreen on my forearms so now they're burnt. Oh well hope this next storm drops some acceptable powder.

I was up at heavenly weds-fri, Wednesday was still good but by Thursday it was slushy. still had fun, a couple of times I thought I was going to go over the handle bars when I hit a slow spot, on the cat tracks I would aim for shaded areas to keep up speed
