You realize you can use it for anything right, even underwater?  It does work off the mountain LOL

Searched the webs and can't find any info. Only thing I can think of is smaller or integrated LCD. At least without changing the lens or just a firmware update. Doubt it will be anything significant. Also if that is their predicted release, be prepared to wait. They missed their deadline multiple times on the HD camera!

The camera is the same but each package deal is tailored for whatever it will be used for. I bought the "helmet hero" package, obviously so I could mount it to my snowboard helmet. The Motorsports package and Surf hero have different mounts that are specific to mounting the camera to a rollbar on a vehicle or mounting the camera to a surfboard. It's all the same camera though.

They will ship it to Australia but it won't accept the code... Plus they overcharge us!! From 240USD it goes to 273AUD but with the current exchange rate it should be 229!! So thanks, but no thanks!

For anyone that gets one I suggest picking up the extended battery pak.  If you look hard enough you can find it for the same price as an extra battery would cost you.

Another good site for GOPRO deals right now, especially on accessories.  Plus free shipping.  I think this sale is going on for this week only.  I picked up a wrist housing for scuba diving later this year in hawaii.

If I leave the camera on continuously (which is what I normally do when I mount it on my helmet), it will die an hour or two after lunch. However, when I use a monopod, I can see the screen easily and turn it off when I'm on the lift, and it easily lasts a day and a half. I also use it for racing, and have never had it die during a single day, even though I constantly forget to turn it off. I'm betting the cold deteriorates the battery life pretty significantly.

I've been having issues with my GoPro. It keeps recording solid pink and nothing else. Also it is so blurry in sunny conditions. It's not use-able on sunny days. I contacted GoPro about these problems and I'm hoping they will send me a new one.

I got mine on ebay and all in (after shipping, tax, duties), I paid $310 CAD. I purchased just shortly after this past Christmas. Might even be better now. Reputable seller to, he sells them regularly, I forget the seller name but won't be easy to find. I believe it was posted for around $220-230.

Jenni, the only difference between GOPRO's is there is an older model which is the WIDE I believe and the HD model.  There are a few different packages the HD model comes in but the only differences are the accessories that come with, the camera is all the same.
