Consensus. No, with the exception of buying ICS/EST with Burton but then again, you don't really have MUCH choice there. Some other brands are compatible but definitely matching EST with an ICS board maximized performance and response.

Agreed with the above responses.

In most cases it does not matter. Burton ICS/EST system is another story.

Of course the colors need to match between board, boots, and bindings.

............ just kidding.

This question has already been answered but I'll throw in my two cents. I've never matched my bindings to my board. I'm partial to Burton bindings so Burton is all I ride, yet, I've never owned a Burton board. I try to match the board and bindings in regards to the type of board it is (stiffer bindings for stiffer freeride boards and softer bindings for softer park boards). That's how I match my bindings to my boards but like I said, I don't make sure the manufacturer is the same for both.

Yes and no Burton is the one that will cuz the have the EST bindings which only work on ICS boards. Now I have seen other companies making ICS boards specifically forum but thats the only people ive seen.

honestly when it comes to bindings it really doesnt matter brand wise for matching to a board. But my recommendation is to save a lil money on the board and get better bindings they can make a cheap board great. companies to look at burton, rome, union, ride, forum. stay away from flow, I havent heard one good thing about them. personally im a burton guy, i got exiles and cartels and love them both

happy hunting
cheers

yes. some bindings won't find nicely with certain boots and by that i mean the straps won't keep your boot as snug as others might. i tested my boots in the bindings i got before purchasing them just to make sure.

maybe someone with more experience will know whether there are some boots that will fit with pretty much anything or bindings that are really versatile.

Burton ICS must go with the EST bindings but in most cases it really doesn't matter same thing with the boots. Just make sure they are adjusted correctly and of look good together of course.

Burton boards either have ICS or their trade mark 3 hole pattern. Most burton bindings will fit on any boards but ive never tried putting non burton bindings on a Burton board. If all else fails, try locate plates that fit a burton boards and your bindings.

You can get plates that are made for Burton's 3d system that will work with other brands' bindings.
