Hi, i've receieved an email with the following content:
Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, your order is on hold for verification. In order to process your order, we request for the card holder to send a copy of a Government issued Identification such as a Drivers License or Passport. Once we have received your Government issued Identification, we will process your order for shipping. This is only a one time verification, once you have completed our Identification Verification, you will not need to send it again for your future purchases. Your order will be placed on hold until you have verified your information. Please note, if you have not verified within 6 business days of this email, your order will be canceled. I am unconfortable sending personal identification to TruSnow and would like to know if anyone else has experienced this, whether this is a legitimate request from trusnow. Thanks |

is this for the free snowboard?
If you aren't going to call to verify that email than you will know soon enough since it says it will be cancelled otherwise. |

Its legit...
http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=16803 Seems they now need a scan of your Govt issued ID for all international orders, it was never a requirement for my previous orders. I don't really understand why this is required for all international orders, it would make sense if the billing and shipping address do not match. Perhaps TruSnow are unable to confirm international creditcard billing addresses with local banks. |

Make a call to set everything.. If you don't understand anything - do not hesitate to ask what exactly and why is it required

I live in Canada and I had to do this. All they wanted was a valid drivers license with a picture. I took a photo with my mobile and sent that to them. It got my order approved and as far as I know, my info is safe and confidential.
Whole reason is to avoid credit car fraud... somewhat. Think about it though, what kind of crime ring would rip off TS? lol |

I sent through a scan of my Australian Drivers Licence, order has now been shipped. For a once off process im ok with it, providing TruSnow keep my personal data secure.
