I personally have the iPhone and have never used the Droid so I wouldn't know but I like the iPhone because it is just like the iPod touch and it is easy to use.

iPhone. I love techs. I had Sony Ericssion phones, Nokia N95, Blackberry...
until I got my iPhone 3G. Then-->3GS ---> iphone 4.

There are more apps and more developers for iphone than Android.
With jailbreak so easy nowadays, if money is not an issue, you shouldn't pick Android.

i think iphone is probably the better pohone, but no 4g, as well as some of apple's business practices would lead me to get a droid.

I've used both but I much prefer the iphone. I just prefer the interface much more and it works with itunes in a much cleaner way than the droid.

Android is out selling iPhone now and is closing the App gap which is a very closed process for Apple.

Iphone is more user friendly.
You can do a lot more with the Droid and techie people prefer the Droid.

Just want to clarify that Android is NOT a phone.
Android is the firmware that runs phones. It includes many different phones. And thats why number of Android phones catching up iphones so quickly.

Assuming you mean iPhone 4, that is one phone that runs on iOS firmware.(So you are really comparing iOS vs Android)

Android can be good (such as HTC) or bad depends on the phone runs with it.
iPhone is always relatively good since the iOS firmware doesn't have to deal with so many phone models.
Just my personal opinion.

Buttom Line: Whatever you chose, be happy with it!

I really like my iPhone 4.  Never used any of the android phones, but people seem to like them.  A fair amount of them are really defensive about them, though.  Seems like they may have a bit of iPhone envy.

The OP didn't mention Android at all. They said Droid, which is a Motorola phone...

I have an Iphone 4, which I bought because of the amount of Apps. However, I definitely prefer the Android interface, it just suits me better. But perhaps the new IOS 5 will change that

I personally like apple products. I like how they do not contain BFR's, the screens are made of real glass and are mercury and arsenic free. I have used my friends android based phone and it was nice, but IMO the iphone 4 just a much better designed piece of hardware.

Though I think Apple is far more dishonest in their practices, especially when it comes to intentionally updating their software to make the old HW inoperable to force you to buy the newest.  Very deceptive!

lol so instead they should release one version of software and do nothing with it regardless of customer/usage feedback, requests or market demand. buy new!!! Software can only go as far as the hardware can support. You want better video games? Make a new system with better hardware....so deceptive!!!!

what a shtooking joke.

I have an Iphone and they are great for about a year. After that they slow down a ton and every app you use starts to crash. As soon as my contract is up I will be switching to a Droid.

when you buy iphone its like buying a designer brand. Fair enough in the past it beat other phones because of its apps, but now with android, apps for android phones have caught up and is likely to surpass iphone by next year.

So rather than paying generally more $$$ for an iphone which no longer has its competitive adv, your only buying the brand these days till apple decides to put something innovative to the table, otherwise grab a htc and use android.

I don't like how Apple tries to suck every penny out of you... so I chose a Droid. With that said, one of my brother's, and my mom and pop all have Iphone's... while my other brother has a Droid.

All of them work really well.. it's all a matter of personal preference.

It's almost become like a Coke Vs Pepsi debate to me. Can't really go wrong with either choice.

To build on this, it seems like a lot of ppl are defending the iphone, so is there such thing as android envy? lol

The iOS user experience is overrated in my opinion from using it on the iPad for a year or so.  And their business practices are a fair bit shady too.  That said, they make a decent phone if getting 4g isn't a priority for you.

I just got the Evo 3D and have loved it so far. Although, Apple seems to have better apps that you can't find in the droid market, mostly gaming though. So I guess it depends on what your need is. Phone wise, I think you'll be happy either way.

iPhone is okay, but too much "Apple OWNS u" for me. On my 2nd Samsung SGS, waiting for a stable gingerbread ROM =).

As for user friendly... it's the same... it's like comparing Windows to Mac.

Also, not having to pay Rogers Canada $80+ a month is great. I'm getting unlimited calls/text/data with call display, waiting, forwarding, conferencing and voice mail for $37.xx odd change a month. Catch is it's restricted to where I live =)

theres too much of an iphone dominance in the market that l sort of dont want it simply because its overly used. not so much its a bad phone since each has its own pros and cons

iPhone, it's the standard to which all other phones are measured, even if others have better specs.

never had an iphone but i like my droid incredible.  both phones have their pros and cons.  when my upgrade comes up at the end of the year, i'm gonna have to decide either iphone or android.  if the new iphone5 isn't 4g, it'll make my decision much easier.

Iphone is the best no question, it's just people want to be different and then call it better even though they know it's not. It's like the who's going to be the next Michael Jordan debate.
