I love anime and could watch them all the time. The only problem is I haven't been able to find any good ones lately. Any anime movies, series, or even Mangas that are any good please let me know.
Here is a list of all the ones I have seen so far and think are really good. Full metal alchemist Cowboy Bebop Death Note Furi Kuri Fruits basket Samurai champloo Naruto spirited away Princess mononoke Avatar Hellsing Claymore GunXSword Afro Samuri Ponyo My neighbor totoro The Castle of Cagliostro Castle in the Sky Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro Lupin III elfen lied Kikis delivery service Ninja scroll Dragon ball Ouran High School Host Club Trigun Outlaw Star Probably like a million others I cant think of, but please let me know so I can watch them. |

Ninja Scroll is the shit, Great Teacher Onizuka is funny as heck too. Other than those, I don't watch too many anime, too time consuming to follow so many episodes.

I don't watch much anime, but do like initial d, first few dragonball series, akira, samurai champloon, and a few others. samurai champloo's got a dope soundtrack too. I yet had to check bleach out. Heard that was good since I like samurai champloon. netflix's got initial d, bleach, and samurai champloon for instant watch right now. they had akira on instant watch for a bit but dunno what happen since its off the list now.

um, although its probably well known, i am a bit of a teensy geek. So yeah, against my better judgement ill point out three glaring omissions.
1. Azumanga Daioh. (<----- the er, avatar) 2. Excel Saga 3. Sayonara Zetsubou sensei (season two is much better than season 1, but then again i love anime that rips into anime) You can probably add 4. cromartie high school and 5. the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya Heres a memorable episode from cromartie high just to give you a bit of a sense of the programme. Ten minutes of people trying to hum a song :) PS. If you dont like any of these, its because youre probably watching the dub. ETA: Im watching lots of azumanga clips on youtube and crying with laughter. I dont find much funny but this programme still kills me. :)

Escaflowne, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell and Ergo Proxy come to mind for me, though I know there are a ton more. Oh! and Initial D for sure!
Can you guys recommend any cyber punk series for me to pick up? I'm having a dry spell of anime lately and reading this thread is making me want to start something new.

I was going to mention Gantz but you beat me to it! I can't believe no one mentioned Serial Experiments Lain yet...that's a great one to mess with your head - you'll see something new every time you watch it. Boogiepop Phantom is good too if you can make it through the first 6 episodes when it starts to tie it all together. |

Blood+ is a good series, 50-30min episodes broke up into 2 parts of the series.
Trinity Blood is good, a little odd at times but still very good. both of those are on Netflix instant queue |

I loved Ninja Scroll and Akira growing up but that's about it. Oh and I used to catch Cowboy Beebob in college from time to time when it was on late at night, never did see the whole series though.

Fist of the North Star / Hokuto no Ken represent. Started out slow and had a lot of filler interspersed, but definitely picked up towards the end.

I really like the Majutsu no Index and it's science side story Railgun. Ao no Exorcist is another one that I'm currently watching. Beelzebub is ass kicking funny. I was into Bleach until they came out with way too many episodes, I just hate super long series.

I'm not really sure why ppl like anime. I don't know if it's for the plot or graphics. I think the graphics on Initial D and Dragonball Z is good, but Dragonball Z graphics got old after awhile

Naruto and One piece only ones I keep watching up to date.
Samurai champloo i enjoyed Deathnote I personally hate, but alot of my friends like Initial D I love, probably because I love cars anyway Bleach is good, dunno why i stopped watching that ages ago, so gonna take a while to get back into it... and find where I left off. Dragonball z and slam dunk (when i was growing up... thats like 15+ years lol) Professor IQ/ Dr slump (again decades ago) Akira and First of the north star are classic anime films good thread this, some animes mentioned here that i havent seen that i may start watching |

You know I was like that too. Grew up watching dbz, slam dunk and professor Iq etc... cartoons is what i call them. Then stopped watching as you do when you get older. Some reason my mate told me to start watching so and so cos its good, took me a while to get into it to be honest, had to watch a good few episodes first... but now im hooked. I even start reading some of the manga's as i cant wait for the anime to come out.
