my friend is in search of a new board. she is currently riding a k2 vvv but she has some toe drag (ww on this is 24). does anyone know of any womens boards with a wider ww? it is near impossible to even find specs on womens boards. id like to keep her on something around a 148 if possible.

Wow...just wow. The following thread is literally RIGHT above your thread. It has WW for pretty much every single woman's board from 2011. Scroll down until you see the colorful table. http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=47186 Edit - Just took a closer look at the table. The WW listed appears to be the WW for the smallest board for that particular model. That makes it a little harder but the table is still an awesome starting guide. You'll see every board in the 148 range, what's the relative flex, what profile it has, what base it has, and its price. And I just googled waist widths for a few boards and already got lots of results. Most are 238-250 range for a board around that size. Like a 149 rome lofi rocker has a 247 ww which is more than enough for a 8.5 boot. |

gecko, youre an ass. not every girl that rides is only looking at the effing graphics of a board. some women actually want to board to fit their specifications, shocking, i know.
and bugs, before i posted this thread i DID READ THAT THREAD. it still doesnt change the fact that when youre looking on a retailers website they dont list specs for womens boards like they do for mens. sure that info is compiled into a thread on the forum but that doesnt help when it doesnt give the ww for the sizes im looking for. i forgot why i stopped being an active member on this site. thanks for reminding me guys, thanks for all the help...

And you sound pretty ungrateful. Glad you're not active anymore.
But I'm just wondering, did you even try bugs' advice? Because the first two sites I tried (Burton and GNU) have spec sheets for ALL of their women's boards, giving you the WW of all different sizes. I'm assuming that if the only two sites I tried list them, they're not the only two. Edit: and what ctoma said.

Whoa there, you get offended a little easily... It's just that I know there is no way a company would list specs for men's boards but not for women's boards. Either they list them for both or they don't list them. I checked and confirmed burton, capita, and rome lists detailed specs including WW for men's and women's boards. K2 does not list detailed specs on their site. Maybe the specs like ww, side cuts, effective lengths, etc. are somewhere on that site but I gave the site a cursory glance and couldn't find it. In any case, it's the same for men's and women's boards. If you need specs for a specific board and its not on the company's site, you can ask and people will be able to find it for you. A lot of online shops will have the specs you want. If that fails, you can look at catalogs and they'll always have them. |
