Yeah I think that actually sealed my decision not to get Browns tickets for either Oakland or SF, I'm watching from the bar here in Reno

P.S.  I heard there were three injured in at least two separate shooting incidents

It was a Raiders fan who pulled the trigger on the more serious shooting, big surprise.

Right after I advised you that SF would probably be the safer option, heh. There was also somebody who got beaten badly in a restroom, rough game to go to for sure.

My guess, a drunk A-Hole at a game that isn't man enough to actually try and fight someone with his hands started shooting off at an opposing teams fans.  I'm guessing the real story isn't much different than this.

fighting someone, hands or not, doesn't make you a man at all. Now, if you can pick someone up and toss them with jeti mind tricks, that's a different story.

Anyways....anyone that causes any type of violence because of sports is just an awful person. It's sports people, and a pregame at that. I understand that getting pissed if your team looses can happen, happens to me at times too, but to go out and act on that anger just makes you a little bitch...

My point was these punks with guns think they are hardcore when a 5 year old could be just as "tough" if they had a gun.  I wouldn't be surprised if the dude who got shot didn't even say a word to the shooter and just happened to have the opposing teams jersey on.

That is very hardcore if the shooting was over a football game. There has got to be more to the story. No links to what really happened for the lazy? I always hear clubs getting shot up not many at football games.

as people said, most fights at sports outings are due to some idiot who has gotten way to drunk and thinks that they are hard asses so they pick fights and what not over stupid stuff

It appears the shooting has cancelled future pre-season rivalry games between the 49ers and Raiders.   They've been playing each other in pre-season for many years.  A few bad apples ruin the fun for the rest of the 9 million people living in the bay area.

I think there is never a good reason for shooting someone, unless it's self defense. And if people would just mind their own business and leave other people alone, there would be no need for self defense. People are just nuts nowdays. Soon they will have TSA inspectors at sporting events.

It's always the idiots that don't know what the heck they are doing, that give the gun-smart people a bad name.......... if one person messes up with a gun, everyone must be the same way!! Gun control ticks me off. (my rant for the day!!)

Keep in mind its individuals on and off the field. There are more than a few of these professional athletes that behave as inappropriately as a lot of non pro's.

Raiders fans are goons.  It's not even close to fun going to games if you're a fan of the other team and actually want to wear their gear.  Most fans will give you a little shit, but these guys take it a whole level higher.

I wore a Broncos shirt to a Raiders game.  I only got yelled at.  If I wore a "F-- the Raiders" shirt I probably would have gotten stabbed.  You just have to be smart attending some games.....

Just more idiots with guns, showing you what NOT to do with guns.  It is just a shame since many gun owners are responsible.  It's a shame.
One of the guys that got shot was wearing an Eff the Niners shirt on.... Although I wouldn't think that would be the wisest choice in clothing in such an event (look at the Dodgers/Giants game earlier this year), but I would hope I wouldn't get shot for wearing it.

I was planning to attend a 49ers game this season but with all the changes they are making to tailgating and the ever aging Candlestick Park it just seems like a waste of money.  I will just have to watch the game in HD in the comfort of my home - guns free.

That behavior is pathetic, why can't everyone just go to the game and enjoy it for what it is, a game.

While I don't love Candlestick as a venue, I still have to go support the Giants when they come to town.
