Bride must of been expecting boatload of cash to hire 2 guards to guard her precious money box...pssh who actually wears their driving glasses anyways!  LOL

I had some spicy funions, I still prefer hot cheetos.

Driving glasses? You must be the male version of Anna Nicole Smith LOL

Eating leftover Thai food for lunch today. Anybody have problems with inconsistent level of heat in their spicy food?

What? not a fan of lobster? what kinda asian are you? lol Food was pretty standard but I was just there for the open bar.

Apparently I'm a failure of an asian by those standards.  LOL  If there's an open bar then you better have left shitfaced.  LOL

Unfortunatlely as much as I wanted to get trashed, I couldn't cuz my gf didn't have her driving glasses so I had to be the dd. Plus the bride hired 2 cops to guard the money box all night so I think most ppl were on good behaviour.

Shark fin soup is just OK. The taste is the same whether it's real or the imitation. And the lobsters at Chinese restaurants are always over-sauced and a mess to eat. And why do they bring out the fried rice at the end, not the beginning? Confused

No more shark fin soup though. That's one thing I love about Chinese weddings.
I've been watching a lot of those nature shows lately. And there's a lot of sharks in the ocean.
I'm sure we can put a cap on how many sharks one can catch and make it seasonal so sharks will never be extinct. But that's not going to happen.
Bye bye forever to shark fin soup.

It's so nice out. Gonna do some BBQing. Thinking of short ribs, chicken wings and veggie skewers. Keep it simple.

But I'll marinate a few full racks of ribs for the weekend.

anybody else here eat "lunch" food for breakfast?
I'd eat like spaghetti, fried chicken, steak, etc for breakfast at work and people look at me like I'm crazy
"How do you eat that stuff in the morning?"
I don't know cause it's delicious? -_-

Maybe I'm not the only one? :(

I'm sure you are not alone with that statement, lol.

Never had a pork gyro but I am heading out for Mexi pork/carnitas enchiladas/tacos/burritos for lunch today at a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves up awesome food.

We should all go to wing stop and order the spiciest wings for the challenge. Whoever drip most sweat into a cup wins.

P.S. I'll also need a 40oz of pepto bismol please. Lol

Spicy foods make me sweat too
But I can't stop and won't stop eating it
Even though I'm adding on to the spice, I'll know I'll hit that point where that spice feeling will go numb and I'm good from that point on lol

I order thai tea at pho places from time to time
Nothing wrong with that
There's no drink that goes against pho

I was watching tv earlier today and I saw a show on messy foods that people have eaten. There was one dish that really caught my eye. It was a large piece of lasagna sandwiched between an even larger sized grilled cheese. It looked amazing. I think I know what I am going to try and make for dinner soon.

Please excuse my rant. I had a bad experience with sushi recently. Most of the rolls tasted the same, sauces on the rolls were either too sweet or spicy, fishes didn't taste fresh and barely have any favor (been frozen for too long) etc.

I really don't care who makes my food as long as is some good grub.

Now that I've thought about it, the better sushi places I went to before didn't have sushi in their name. Interesting

Yeah I noticed that a lot of korean and chinese make the sushi too but I can't complain since it's all good food to me. I'm just there to eat, don't care who makes it, as long as it tastes good and not over priced.

Got some sweet & sour pork with rice for work tonight. Not sushi but still good.

There's pad thai but they have some other dishes too.  Yes, it is rare and impossible to find any japanese sushi chefs or owners because they're all korean which is funny because koreans have a long history of hate on the japanese but don't mind capitalizing on their food!  LOL  I heard the real sushi places in the US are the ones that do not say sushi in their name, all the rest that have to advertise they're a sushi joint are for american version of sushi.

^ all of the sushi places i know do not have japanese sushi chefs. 99% of them are korean. but then, sushi is not cooking, it's just putting things together in a roll. a lot of sushi rolls that we eat here, can not be found in japan..LOL so, our idea of what sushi is, is kind of different from what sushi really is in japan. it's almost like going to mexico and ordering a chalupa.

Speaking of chef and ethnicity, sushi made by Korean or Chinese chefs should not be call sushi.

There's a Thai dish that uses the same pho noodle, it was okay although I'm not a fan of pho anyways but I do always order some kind of noodle dish at Thai places.  I don't think the ethnicity matters, what matters is the chef because those bordering countries, it's common for one ethnicity to be living in their neighboring country instead.  I have a lot of friends who are actually either Chinese or Thai but their families grew up in Vietnam so they just ended up calling themselves Vietnamese.  LOL

Someone is feeling fancy during football games.  LOL

Burma is close by to Thailand so it's no surprise their food would be similar.

Picked up my sister in law after work and ended up meeting my parents and uncles at our neighborhood pho place.  I ordered thai tea without boba and the waitress was like I should get boba and I was like nah then my sis in law opened her big mouth saying the boba there was hard.  The waitress was like their boba is good and soft so she ordered one with boba.  I think the waitress made our thai tea even worse than before because it was way more tea than milk this time and still nasty as hell.  LOL
