Lol. Cooking the basics is some caveman type sht. Meat over fire, it cooks. Just these days you put the meat in a pan with maybe some butter or some oil. It's more common sense then anything.

Well~~ today I had some interesting Vietnamese food. My coworker's wife bought some for us. We do not know the name. But it was sticky rice with chicken (maybe duck), some kind of ham, and some kind of sausages on it. No veggies present, except for a few specks of green. The sausage was sweet, the ham looked kinda like spam but with more chunks of stuff. Good stuff. Does anyone know what we might have eaten? lol

It would be easier if you post a picture before you ate it all.  LOL

Sadly all I can cook is water.  LOL

Just made some awesome homemade chicken nuggets!  Made a garlic puree and used that as the first coat of batter for the chopped up chicken breast, after nicely coated I tossed them and covered in some seasoned flour. After that just tossed em in the deep fryer for a couple minutes and boom, damn good chicken nuggets. Such a simple recipe that literally anyone could do.

I definitely tried to have some sushi for lunch at work. But with all the Korean restaurants around here, somehow none of them have good sushi. I end up going to a Korean food buffet that has sushi included. Sushi isn't so good. Although the galbi is great, considering it's buffet food.

correct. the sauce on it definitely makes it just that much better. but if you ever go to a place where they have both fresh water and sea eel. try the sea eel. sooo much better.

^ Originally Russian dressing had caviar in it.  Now it's more of a tomato based dressing with some pungent ingredient like horseradish.  Thousand Island is similar but it has bits of pickle/onion in it, almost like relish.

Russian is typically red, Thousand Island typically orange.  But some dressing brands have orange Russian dressing while others have red Thousand Island dressing.  Confusing, eh?

Discovered a Hakka restaurant close by my place for my Chili chicken fix. Some dingy shoebox of a restaurant called Lotus Garden but makes really good food.

$15 for 10pcs meal. They better be using real 100% chicken.

^anna

Your lasagna looks great. I want to go get some good lasagna now. My work makes a veggie lasagna...disgusting. They just throw in dinner service's veggie medley and some tomato sauce and called it a day. No favor, blah. We have good Bolognese sauce, don't know why...O wait...my owner is a cheap skank...almost forgot.

Made some garlic puree to marinate small strips of chicken breast and turned it into a stir fry with onions and jalapeno. Tossed it over some lemon peppered rice and sprinkled some dry roasted sunflower seeds on em. First time I ever made that and it turned out a lot better then I expected. Was watching The Taste and got me inspired to cook something up.

True, McDonalds is more expensive outside of the US but to a certain degree.  It appears to be around regular price in Asian countries from what I've seen in Vietnam, Hong Kong and Japan.  Maybe Ronald just doesn't like Canada.  LOL

McDonalds is currently running a deal where you buy a $20 gift card, and get free 10-piece nuggets.

They've been doing $5 for 20 nuggets forever.

No offence anna, that Lasagna looks good but it's also bringing back some childhood nightmares for me right now. I remember enjoying it briefly until i got to the layer of eggplant hiding somewhere in the middle.

Holy cow that's expensive!  I think our nugget deal is 10 bucks for 50 piece nuggets.  Must be expensive to import that pink goop.  LOL

Shockedeggplant?

You can put anything you want in it but in classic lasagna there is no eggplant.
If you like Italian pastas and pizzas, the ingredients are almost the same for lasagna but cooked in a different way

Can't stand lasagna!!! Haven't had it since I was a kid. Didn't like it back then and wasn't sure why. Only found out about 3-4 years ago to find out that my mom used to put egg plant in it. Dead Still can't muster up the guts to try regular lasagna.
