Guppy in Irvine? Next to my favorite 85 Degrees? Sea Salt Coffee & a maple toast thingy. After some surf that's the best. Then head next door and wash it down with some boba. I've always wanted to try Guppy's but there seems to always be a line/crowd. And after standing in an 85 degrees line I'm not as patient.

^^^ What's in the "brick"?

Made some curried chicken salad -- shiz is good except for the fact that I had to use canned chunk chicken, and I can taste the metal/industrial weirdness of it.

Knock on wood, I'm wondering when my kitchen creations are going to backfire on me...

I fixed a honkin' T-Bone on my stovetop grill pan the other night....YUM!

The BK Bacon Sundae:

The Lobster Mac N' Cheese I mentioned a page or two back
(this stuff was too fishy & I added a panko & shredded cheese breading crust on top)

Broiled salmon & scallops in the oven, boiled some basil gnocchi, steamed then broiled asparagus...the salmon has a lemon-artichoke simmer sauce on it also

I hope you didnt have to heat it up in a microwave. Microwaves kill many of the enzymes and nutrients in food that our bodies need.

I stopped using a microwave 3 years ago. It doesnt take that much longer to heat up food on the stove or in the oven.

Been awhile since I've posted up in here...but do I have some fooooooooood to share!

One pic I don't think I have....the BK bacon sundae -- I didn't like it at all. I failed to remember that it was made with BK bacon, which tasted horrible (like old grease). Then it was caramel & chocolate syrup combined which turned out to be too sweet.

Haha, thats true. It does suck living somewhere with little options to choose from.

For a couple years I lived in a small town that only had a Burger King, Blimpies and a Little Ceasers. Pinch And the only restaraunt was an upscale place that was only open in the evenings.

The closest major city was a 20 minute drive away.

Both those pizza's look bomb as hell!  LOL!
I see NY style pizza in Vegas all over, and they get it good, but after coming back from Chicago I realized all the other "chicago style deep dish" places here were bunk, but my buddy form chicago showed me a couple places here that do it right.

Anyway, went to KoMex Korean Mexian Fusion again yesterday and got this massive pork bulgoki and kimchi borito for $5:

I ate at this trendy hipster bbq joint in SD called Gingham yesterday.  Not impressed at all.  The brisket tasted like boiled tomato beef stew.  WTF?  I was surprised that this could even be called brisket.   Dessert was blah...only good thing was the fries, but kind of hard to mess up on fries.

I want sushi now...

chitown style is pretty much deep dish style, thicker crust to support all the load of the toppings.

Then NY style is thinner crust, HUGE wide slices that ya have to fold in half to eat.

just went to san fransico for a food trip...  started off with some ramen in mountain view, off castro street.  it was prob one of my fav foods in the trip.  highly recommend this place.

then had some chicago style pizza.

probably the best chicago style i've had.  but i still like new york style a lot more...

i wanted to go to swan oyster depot, but they closed by the time i got there...  next time i suppose.

Man I love some Cajun flavored or spicy chicken tenders. When they get their spicing right it's one of my favorite things to eat period.

I tried a BBQ pulled-pork pizza over the weekend, good flavor and topped with fried onion strings. It was a bit awkward to eat though with the big pieces of pork.

There are no pics on this page, so here goes:

This was only $16 at Tacos el Godo.  Thats the $5 carne asada fries (big enough to share) plus 4 pork tacos and 2 drinks.  Plenty for 2. Carne was better then pork that day:

Been to long since we had sushi, so this was a couple days ago:

My buddy said I had to try the Loco Moco at OHana down the street.  This is "regular size".  I Like that it was double normal and came with mac salad, but their gravy was not as good as  Aloha Kitchen:

Wen to PT's Pub the other day and their cajun flavored fingers were BOMB!  Perfect dry rub. Was really surprised:

Been wanting to try Chick and Benny's ever since I've been looking for a place that makes beignets.  I think I was expecting to much.  None of it was horrible.  In fact it was all pretty good, but I was just expectin much more.  Plus it's across town...I just happen to be in the area so we tried it:

Yah, they all kinda taste metallic. I suppose it's more about how much sugar you can tolerate to overcome the potassium taste.

I made fish tacos tonight... and started a bit of a small apartment fire.. The magical stove somehow started a burner that we weren't using! Nevertheless, the tacos were delicious!

I have tried many different brands (Powerbar, Marathon, Cliff) and they all have that same sort of gritty taste/texture.

Some of the Cliff bars aren't TOO BAD if you find the right flavors.
