Yup...hit up Rubios yesterday for my no meat fix.  Pricey, but their new Mango Habanero Mahi Mahi tacos were BOMB!

Not that I could tell.  Hadn't been there in awhile so a lot of items looked good to me.  So much so that I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted!  LOL!
The beer battered fish burrito and some of their shrimp selections were high on my list.

how much is this massive bun? I would only hope that the innards are juicy, cause those buns are known for being quite dry.

I just procured a cast iron waffle iron and boy am I glad I did.  The waffles this thing makes are so delicious it's not even funny.  Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.  They are a bit tedious to make so if you don't have patience and aren't willing to put in the effort for amazing waffles then it's not for you.  Oh yeah, and you have to clean/season the iron before you use it which is a royal pain in the buttocks, but it's way wort it in my opinion.  I love waffles.

this pic doesn't do it justice cuz my camera wasn't picking it up due to the lighting. But I assure you, bun is not dry, pork is juicy and super tender, and its got this spicy sauce they add to bring out the flavour. I'm salivating just talking about it. I'll try to post a better pic next time.

Took the wife out to Shadowbrook just outside of Santa Cruz for a date night. I got a steak, with just enough pink (med-rare). It was the best meal I've had in a while.

I made some chocolate chip cookies, but replaced the sugar with applesauce and creatine.  Made the dough really soupy, so I turned them into scones.  Performance Enhancing Scones that taste like cookies.  Pretty good.

I decided to try the Hot Mess burger today from Jack in the Box seeing as they're pushing it really hard right now.  My official verdict is: Meh...    It's not worth it.  Just get something you know you like because I'm pretty sure you'll be disappointed with this one.

Fish dips and fish salad tonight. Went a little overboard with the whip cream and got the salad super soggy. Still good though
