Just a friendly heads up for people in the Denver Metropolis, Colorado Ski and Golf and Sports Authority are having their big labor day sales this weekend.

It's a good time to pick up last year's gear new, for better pricing. Season passes and four packs will also be available to pick up for the upcoming season.

Not sure what everyone is looking for, but Colorado Ski and Golf (SkiRex) is usually a way better sale and much better higher quality gear. Go to the Aurora location, that's surprisingly where they have all the good gear.

29 days until Loveland starts making snow!

Don't forget Christy's SNOWDAZE is also going on and offers an extra 5th day free with the Copper and Winter Park 4 packs.  Much better prices than Sniagrab as well, but definitely check both out if you are in the market for some last season gear for cheaper.

That's the point of the whole sale, it's local only and first come first serve. This would never work online.

Both companies that do the sale are colorado based (Colorado Ski & Golf and Sports Authority)

I forgot about Christy's Snowdaze! I think their big sale is at one of their Park Meadows locations.
CoSki&golf is owned by Vail so if you buy your epic pass there I think you get a store voucher for a future purchase.
Christy's is partnered with Copper to get that 5th day free.

It's a good weekend to get your passes! It would be silly to have a website for these sales since it's a lot of miscellaneous items from last year. Plus anyone who doesn't get things from this weekend, there's always The Snow Expo in November which has anything left from SkiRex plus demos and again most of the resorts will have booths there too.

Anyone find some good deals at these events? Last year Loveland was doing the 5th day included free, and I was hoping the same would happen this year. Nope :(

I did manage to score sweet sunglasses off a loveland scratch-off ticket. However, there just wasn't anything that caught my eye this year. I'm also trying to patiently wait for everyone to finish getting their 2012 stuff.

I went to sniagrab and ski rex hoping to get some ski boots, snowboard boots, pants and maybe some bindings.

I picked up some ski boots at sniagrab, but other than that it was pretty disappointing, only had like 5-8 different mens bindings, maybe 10-15 different mens boots and not many pants to choose from. Skirex had much better selection but I only ended up picking up some snowboard boots from them.

I'm glad I didn't go then.
