If you compare:
Kid - play around all day, goof off with your frineds at school, no worries or cares, free of almost any responsibility, doted on by all sorts of parents/teachers etc.
Old person - body starts failing you, friends die one by one, burdoned by the hard lessons of life, nobody wants to listen to your sage wisdom.

No wonder old folks are grumpy.  I think I'd trade the last 25 years of my life for about five good years at any other point.  Maybe I'll feel different about it when I get old.

Probably not, the greatest thing about being a kid was not knowing anything I do now, not knowing about any of the responsibilities to come.

You build a life swap machine to transfer life from one person to another. Who would you choose to bring back to life and who would you decide to drain all the life from? You cant extend your lifeShocked

You could administer some justice by swapping out all the folks on death row for 911 victims, or the people they killed.

But if it was just one person i'd kill tom brady and bring back al davis.  just for kicks.

This life swap machine would become problematic very quickly.

As soon as people found out they would be coming to you, begging you to bring back their beloved son/daughter/sister/dog/hamster.  Just like when someone wins the lottery.  You'd either have to turn them down or start finding more and more people to kill.  It would become a curse.

Unless you just started eliminating anyone who came begging until people got the picture.

Hypothetical question is:

Say you just won a free snowboard, do you still have the right to whine about stuff on an online forum?

Agreed, though, this thread has been a fun way to pass time waiting for the freaking snow.

Of course you have hte right to whine. The interwebs is specifically for those seeking to whine anonymously. Winning a board doesn't cure everything that ails you.

Hahaha, people vociferously defending their right to complain about stuff online is awesome.  Point taken.

With the seasons, I'm going to presume you can't cheat and say winter (for riding) but still be able to fly to Australia for sunshine (since it would be summer there).  So the whole world would be locked in to one season.  In which case, I'd pick spring.

Choose 5 things from the list and say why.

How about a raft repair kit?  In case it gets popped or whatever by the flesh light or lit on fire by waterproof matches.

If I were to live for the rest of my life in one season, it would be fall. Scenery is amazing and it's comfortable weather for me. Regarding the snow...I would just travel somewhere for vacation to do my snowboarding

So you are in a gang. You have decided you want out because you will prob eventually die in a turf war, and you conscious is getting to you for all the evil things you have done. But the penalty for leaving your brothers is death. They will hunt you down for leaving the group. What are you gonna do to make sure you get away? You only have $100 dollars and the clothes your wearing. You are located in Mexico.

Worst I had was wonderful.

Oh I didn't see this one, but if I had to choose one season to live in for my whole life, it'd be summer.  The other three seasons are exactly the same where I live, raining.
I need more vitamin D in my life and from the sounds of everyone else whining in the area (get used to it, we got 9 more months of dark, rainy weather), everyone else does too.
I was hoping to be able to fly to snow though.......

I think there are 2 sensible options for escaping life on the mean streets of Mexico:
1.  Like Dave said, kill everyone else and steal the money/drugs
2.  Since it's not an immediate risk, I would take my time planning my escape.  I would grow a beard and grow out my hair.  Once everyone is used to the new look (and I look good with a beard), I could shave it off for a fresh look to buy some time escaping.  And I would throw myself on the mercy of a good woman, one of the crazy types who would do anything for you.  Then I'd escape in an inflatable life raft with a rope, tarp, two-way radio, fishing pole and my snowboard.

I would come up with some crazy elaborate plan to disguise myself and flee the country.  The night before my escape, I would hit a local bar to calm my nerves a little bit.  Next thing I know, I'd be hammered and spending the rest of my $100 on hookers and blow.  I would wake up the next next morning hungover, in the same predicament, and broke.  Oh well.

Spending $100 on Mexican hookers will give you a death sentence.  You never know what's crawling around in those dark, dirty tunnels.

You're in a Mexican drug dealing gang, contemplating your own death in a turf war.  What would you recommend - counselling?  Mediation?

Pinata trojan horse is genius though.

Hmmm are you asking us to come up with solutions so you can get out of a gang urself???

Either way, I'd shave my head, grow an asian beard, and put on a monk outfit. From there, I'd use my $100 dollars to get a raft and a fishing pole and try to make my way either north or south and find me one of those tiny islands in the Caribbean Sea. I'd sell whatever fish i catch to make more money, and work my way up from there.
