Got a used roof rack for $120.  I can't believe it would cost like $500 new.  It's not made out of gold.   Plus I got some new snow tires.  I'm ready for POW!

hey question, when you mount the rack, do you have to screw something in or how does it attach itself?

Winn,
the Yakima bars generally clamp to the existing roof rails. It's a little different car to car but that's how ours worked.

If your car does not have rails, they usually clamp in the door frame.  Requires a 4 door vehicle.  But fully removeable with no drilling.

There are also version that are more permanent.

No, really you just buy the clips that fit your car and clamp them down.  You have to dick with them to get them right.

Hmmm...all my budies with the same car as me had to "modify" their racks to make them work.  I thought they clamped into the door frame.  Where does your back clamp attach to?

Then again, it could just be because my car has a full glass roof...

didn't really need them, but I got a pair of new 686 plasma pants to go with my 686 Plexus jacket.  Houndstooth isn't as contrasting as I would like, but I got some features I didn't have before (20k/15k, powderskirt loops, an 8 ounce weight reduction, better fit, etc)

I just clamped it under the glass molding.  It had to be pushed in a little bit but it's the same basic principle.

Oh christ....I just blew so much money...ShockedLOL. So as some of you may know, I have been looking for a decent pow/playful ski to get my wife. Was going to just say eff it, and get her a pair of the SS skis as they are only 140. Then I got looking and noticed they only had some small sizes, and then MTpow talked me out of it all together. Search back on, K2 Missconducts...hey these look decent, ahhh shit, they don't come with binders...what to do, what to do.
Long story short I went to my local shop and they talked me into a pretty sick pair for her. Picked up a pair of Volkl PRL's for her today! They have a little bit of rocker to them, and from what all the dudes, and a walk in customer said, they are super fun to ride. Honestly I think I got a pretty good deal on them too. Got the ski's, a pair of Salomon Z10 binders, some basic poles, and a season's worth of wax/tune ups/installation of binders for $417. Don't really need the wax/tune ups as I do all of our equipment at home...but it was nice that they threw that in there. Apparently the skis retail for 500+, binders close to 200, poles 40....you get the point.
While I spent WAY more than I thought, wanted, and should of...I am damn happy at the price.
Think they are a cool looking ski too, on top of it. LOL

You can send it to Colorado for the crew out here to test drive it and load it with unfavorable stickers.
