im trying to become a minimalist, already have union contacts and cartels and another pair of boots. haha and i simply need the money.

 
both my room mates have the 2010 triad so ive gotten to ride them a few times. comparing it with the cartels, id say the triads have noticibly more cushion.  both on the straps and the foot bed.  the response and feel are pretty much the same, although i do admit i like the 2010 triad cosmetics better than my 09 cartels.

I've a Sierrascope myself and rides great. Lots of pop, very stable, great flex... holds presses well. Flex is on the softer of the mid end. Floats well. Edge to edge transition is quick. Base is pretty fast.

I'm 185 lbs and normally ride a 158 for all mountain, would I be correct in assuming the Sierrascope in 152 would be too small for me?

maybe you want to go smaller?  I'm looking for a 153 for local small mtns.  I normally ride 155-159.

the scope floats well in powder, granted it's not going to being like a slasher or a pow specific deck. 
as for 185lb on a 152, i guess it really depends on preference. I've rode with 180lb dudes on a 150 and 170lb dudes who are on 156 for park.
