Direct Link To This Post Topic: DO NOT BUY FROM HAIDERS
    Posted: Nov/15/2011 at 6:50pm
Paid for some burton mission dark ages on september 20th. i was even nice and sent him 100 bucks instead of the 95 he was asking.
heres the thread
http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48340&PID=1118056#1118056

still have not received them. Im about 100% sure this dude has scammed me, so dont buy gear from this sh!thole ever.

just letting everyone know not to buy from him if he posts anything else up(which i doubt he will)

figured 2 months after i paid for em and haven't received em, i should post it up.  unfortunately i cant dispute this with paypal because i sent it as a gift. last time i do that to a seller i don't know.

Luckly i have a good job and a good income so 100 bucks lost isnt a huge deal, but its still annoying that i have to buy another pair of bindings now for my third board.

karma will catch up to this guy one day. Im not worried.

TBH i might actually jump on those cartels. the reason i bought the missions in the first place was so i could have the full toestraps, not the ones with the holes in em. i dont like the holed ones.

ill keep you posted tho.

get in contact with one of the older mods and ask them to make a shit list sticky. It wont be protection, but it might help in some cases. Make sure that your first post is EXACTLY what you want, because once you edit that first post the sticky is usually gone. So the shit list needs to be page 2 if you want to continue updating it. There, thats all i can think of :)

Can we make a trading sticky? Its usually not a good idea to send payments over PayPal as gifts because it doesn't give buyer protection. The benefit of sending payment as a gift is saving like $3-$4 but for that small amount I rather have the peace of mind.

^+1 just tell the seller that you want to send it as regular payment, and that your willing to fork over an additional $5 or what not to cover their end so that they dont have to pay. shouldnt be a problem unless they stink of scam

THIS.  Only reason I request gift payment is for all to avoid the fees... but I'm also not a sketchball so I dunno?  I'd be perfectly happy to do a regular payment if the buyer offered to throw in a couple extra dorras but most of the time on here they're not interested bc they are already offering you $100 under what you are asking....

i would rather just take the $5 hit, just jack their shipping price up $5 and theyll never know. it shouldnt honestly a big deal for either the buyer or seller, cuz then you get these crap situations where someone gets hosed with no way of fixing it

that is true since most will try to low ball you. but you ask a seller dont care, its the buyer's problem and for their best interest

yeah i give the option to send as a gift if they wanna save money, but if they wanna just put in a few dollars for the fees its all good the seller shouldnt ever say no to that option if he aint paying

Thanks for the warning.  I will remember never to send a paypal payment to anyone as a gift.  Let them pay the fee to prove they're legit I guess.

Sorry you got taken, but could be worse.  At least you didn't try craigslist and end up getting shot.  Think that happened recently to somebody in San Jose who was selling snow gear.

I think the trust goes up with the stars/rank we've built up over the years. But I agree, a separate feedback to just buying and selling should be put up... I brought it up a year ago or so and was just told it was a good idea but would probably never happen. :\

Seconding (thirteenth-ing?) the Buyer Review sticky. But it would have to be properly moderated by someone who is willing to update the first post as needed.

Stars and posts don't mean a whole lot of anything, in my opinion. I'm on an auto forum where they make you buy an account ($20/yr or so) before you're allowed to participate in a trade or sale. While it's good for accountability, I don't think it would be a good model for this site.

BUY AND SELL LOCAL! Shipping is especially volatile, use buyer protection from Paypal! I'm sorry you lost out zag but you basically forfeited the payment when you sent it as a "gift". Best of luck to you and I hope to see this scenario play out much better than it currently is.

Why should the seller pay the fee. That makes no sense.
The buyer should pay up if they want the protection, it's called "buyer's protection" for a reason.

Just got an email back from haiders and he is sending them out. apparently he just got lazy, and couldnt find a box for em.

im not gonna buy from him again, and i will not recommend him to anyone, just for the sheer fact that he is a lazy seller, but at least he didnt steal my cash.

ill update this thread again when i receive the bindings.

Seriously?  That is weak, really weak.  It took him 2 months after receiving payment to find a f*cking box?

Based on this account I think people should avoid buying from this guy.  He needs to step up and address this issue if he wants to sell anything here.

well that sucks. If youre going to send as gift send it to someone youve dealt before or someone that has been here a while. As a seller i rather save the buyer some cash then give it to the middle man or just add the fees to your items price and thats it.

there should be something underneath your name that rates you as a buyer seller and gives others some info about you.

Of course he didn't read it. That takes to much work, he got his 1 point for his post and didn't read any of the thread. Glad to hear that he is finally sending you your bindings.
