I have the 2012 Rome Shift bindings and the instructions says to just "slide" the toe ramp out and then back into the position thats comfortable for yyour boot. But the toe ramp isn't budging..any help?

is there a screw or something like that on the bottom? unless im sadly mistaken i believe that there are very few bindings that you can adjust the toe ramps while its on your board

There's got to be a screw if not probably going to be a clip lock adjustment underneath the toe bed

Yeah, take the bindings off and take a look from underneath. That's where they usually are. Most are 2 screws.

There might not even be a screw. You probably just need to have the binding off the board in order to slide it.

LOL you cant adjust it without lifting the binding off teh board. its usually just a clip that holds it in place

See if it wiggles at all and comes loose in any direction. You might have to pull it off a 'track', move it to where you want it, then push it back into the track. If there are no screws, see if the toe ramp will move up or down from the base of the binding. You could also try calling the customer service line and see if they have any pointers. |

Hey there,
In order to adjust your toe ramp on your Shifts, make sure they're off the board first. Then grasp the heel hoop with one hand and the toe ramp with your other hand and pull - it'll take a bit of force the first time. Once pulled out to the max adjustment, you can push it back in to your desired sizing. If you've ever got any questions, let us know and we'll be happy to help out - ridercouncil at romesnowboards dot com. Shred on Rome SDS |

I'm having the exact same problem, and I'm pulling as hard as I can. I don't think I'm that weak. Off board, holding heel hoop, pulling hard, nothing budging. Define a bit of force? (more than I have in my two arms?)
*Update* I had to take a slotted screw driver (fairly wide head) and sort of pry it from the bottom side. There was no chance it was going to move by just pulling with fingers. So much for it being "tool-less" Even after I finally got it pried apart, it wasn't exactly "easy" to slide it in and out. But that's the kind of force it took, nothing my fingers could ever duplicate. I'd have included a picture, but I already mounted them on the board. I pried it around the sort of square area between the toe ramp, and the bottom of the binding where they come together. With a wide enough head, you could probably just give the screw driver a good twist in both directions to get it to slide out. Putting too much pressure, with a smaller headed driver, you'll likely damage the plastic, but it does seem quite sturdy. |
