Hello!
All I can first say is that you have some great forums here and iv already learned a lot by just reading around! But I sill have some questions that I can't seem to find answers for, and if I'm in the wrong forum I apologize. I have never boarded in my life but find myself dieing to try it. my question is what do I get? I have never been a fan of renting gear and would rather take the chance of buying my own. I'm 5'11 180lb and right foot dominate. I have read so many things now that I'm not sure what to look for. I would like a board that is good to learn on but one that has a little growing potential even if that means it a bit more difficult then the standard beginners board. I know that a lot to ask but any advice would be great! Thanks |

Hey Gid-
I would suggest a board length of 158cm for you. I would also recommend you buying a rocker (reverse camber) board. This shape board will make learning how to carve much, much easier. In order to correctly match you with the right gear you want to have 5 main components: 1-Height 2-Weight 3-Shoe/boot size 4-Ability 5-Riding conditions If you want to send me a privet a message or ask any of the experts or staff in the live chat section. Somebody would be happy to help you get out on the mountain! -MustacheGeorge |
