I would hope with Red Bull backing the contest that it will get on television one way or another.  A contest of this magnitude needs to be televised, and not by Fuel TV because f*cking Wide Open West does not carry Fuel.

"...we've sent a "save the date" to John JacksonNicolas MüllerDCPJake BlauveltGigi RüfWolle NyveltLando,Devun Walsh, Pat Moore, Shaun White and a few others. Terje is confirmed. "  Damn.

I have a feeling it may be on ESPN or similar channels, it better be, or broadcast live on youtube or something High-Definition, can't stand anything not HD nowadays haha

gotcha, yeah i agree there, just didn't understand where you were coming from at first lol.

i think he's a good rider and a lot of people dislike him just because he's good, i think it'll be a good competition because t-rice is pretty damn good too!

he is a good rider, on groomed things haha

i have yet to see him get any real shots on any of his video parts.
someone feel free to prove me wrong, but i cant recall a single shot of him wearing an avy pack, or riding a pillow line ever.

i remember watching a movie once where Shaun White was riding backcountry in Japan. let me just say that he was killing it! cliff drops, and pillow lines etc... say what you will about the guy but anyone that is literally raised on a snowboard and as talented as he is, i would expect nothing less than for him to be able to ride anything and everything.

he never rides that stuff, and he is or will never be anything compared to guys like Rice, Landvik, Johnson, Muller, Bleauvelt or Gigi. Shaun kills it in the pipe, but thats pretty much the extent of it

well of course you can't compare him to those guys, just like you wouldn't compare those guys in the pipe to shaun. he may not have the time to ride backcountry as much due to his schedule blah blah blah but that doesn't mean he never rides bc. that would just be incredibly dumb.(on his part)

i don't know if this is the movie i saw, but this trailer is japan and it's BC.

but its a backcountry event, not a pipe event.....so if we cant compare him to them in the backcountry then why the hell is he in the comp? to be honest after he passed on resigning a redbull contract, im surprised they even invited him (since this is a redbull event)

I think I just jizzed in my pants.. How much to go scope this!
It's sad that nothing like this would make it into the X Games, too secluded :/
So as everyone else is saying this MUST be aired on tv or streamed live.

This looks so sick!! I would love to scale that stuff down by like 4 times and ride it haha. That being said, Red bull is not a snowboarding company, so they should not be sponsoring snowboarding period. energy drinks are not good for you and will not help you perform! I understand that there is a big business side to snowboarding but i wish snowboarding had stayed as a core sport and only about shredding. While I can agree that large corps. help the sport to expand very much so, i just wish it was not energy drinks. And since shaun white has been talked about so much on here, i would like to mention how much of a douche he is for having a contract with Target. Are you F\/( l< ing serious?? I could go on for a while about this but already i  have said to much, thanks

Whhattt!?

Wow I can't wait, this is going to be so sick!
Although natural selection was very unique, I find watching the dew tour or other related slopestyle competitions as interesting if not more, simply because the of the more technical tricks. I have a feeling Supernatural is going to be off the hook though.

I'm not disagreeing with you...but what's scarier, being like 25 feet above an icy pipe deck or 40 feet above a 40+ degree slope blanketed in deep pow?

not even park dude, he's on the decline now (riding wise)

anyone in bc around kelowna or closer to nelson want to go poach this? go ride it before anyone else does so you have bragging rights!

I saw the first one on Fuel TV a few years ago and it was great: JH had the deepest pow I've ever seen at any contest and those guys were sending the hugest airs off cliffs and stuff (we see that all the time in videos, but this was unedited and still mind blowing).  Then, I was really looking forward to it the next year, but this contest never came together again...until now.

T.Rice won the first one and Wolle came in a very close second...I'm guessing T.Rice will probably win again, considering how competitive and talented he is (plus, it's his home mtn)

the lineup of riders that they're inviting (hopefully all agree to participate) has me salivating so bad.
the only contest i get to see are xgames or olymics and most of those guys aren't ever there.

Found a teaser video on this that my local shop posted on their FB page:
At the end of the video, it says Saturday March 31st 10am PT / 1pm ET and and has the NBC logo under it.
Guess the video went up yesterday and this is the first I've ever heard of it.
I'm not quite understanding what they are building in the video...

That course setup looks insane with limited snow on it.  I'm sure it will look almost as crazy mid-season, though.  Can't wait to watch this.

Yeah they def have snow. They had to shovel some of the features so they don't get buried and lost. That's when you know you have a sick set up going!
