They're baaaaaaacckkkkk....this time it's the Women's 686 thermals. The mens went SUPER fast, so get to it. Free shipping and save $30 bones...this could be the ultimate christmas gift for her...Sizing fit:
for the mens we suggested to go smaller. (ie:if you're deciding between a medium and large, go with the medium). Christina is trying them on right now and will have a report for you in a few minutes as well...enjoy!

The Small bottoms fit nicely around the waist. The inseam was low and they are 3/4 length.
The Small top had lots of room. If you usually wear a Medium-sized shirt, then I would get a Small-sized thermal top.
*5'3, usually wear a size 4 in jeans.

I don't have thermals, my pants just stand up to the cold. I think when i go to Japan i will need to get some though, as the temp is an average -20 degrees C which is quite cold -4 degrees in your odd method of measurement.

I would say that yes, guys could wear these. Although the 'Men's' thermals had the nifty crotch stiching and 'window' that the 'Women's' thermals do not have. The 3/4 leg length might also be irritating to many Men who prefer a full-length thermal.Other than that, they are made of the same material, and even have similar packaging.

I like mine so much that I definately considered it, but I decided to save my money for something I need rather than something I just like a whole lot.

girls like to think they are 'small' so achieving a size like '0' (depending on your height) could be considered an acheievment. The new size is 00 or double zero.

Sierra Staff, Hate to make this my first post on here but I'm a little upset about a situation I ran into using the site. If I ordered a top in bottom of the thermals for my wife on Tues, how can I be allowed to order, get a confirmation email, and then two days later get a call saying the item is out of stock? I already called back and cancelled the order but now it's irritating me a little as she has been looking for a good deal on thermals for a while and I was pumped I found some for her for xmas. Is this typical of the Cheap Like a Dog items work or was that just an exception to the rule? I'd really like to spend money here in the future but I'm a aprehensive now. |

so you're only out of the men's thermals right? If so, why is catch22 so upset if he was buying them for his wife? they're still available. unless his wife is manly large and doesn't fit the womens sizes.

Bingo, she's 6' so nothing in a girls medium will fit unless it's a belly shirt which kinda defeats the purpose of a thermal. When I ordered the larges were available and my email confirmed that (11:30 am on Tues), then I get a call this morning that they are out of stock, sorry. Really not that big of a deal, just was excited to get a cool gift for her on the cheap, now I have to find something else. Wish I would have jusst been notified immediately or not been allowed to order if they were really sold out in the first place. Regardless, it's a cool site and I'll keep checking back, this situation just rubbed me the wrong way a bit.

Yeah Beez, I thought about trying the Ms but think I'm just going to skip it and find something else. Normally she has to get pretty much everything in XL just to get the length right so I was already iffy about going with the Ls in the first place. I think the M would be too small and I'd just end up paying to send them back. Would be nice if 686 at least had a sizing chart on their site but I haven't been able to find one.
Oh, and can someone give me the heads up on the earlier question of if it's normal for the Cheap Like a Dog items to be oversold and cancelled after ordering? I'm sure I'll try buying again next time I see something I need, just want to know if I should hold off on being excited about something for a couple days. Sucked to be expecting to get the package in the mail today or tomorrow and now having nothing.
Also, if anyone has any recommendations for good deals on woman's thermals, let me know! Edited by catch22 - Dec/14/2006 at 6:57pm |

'Cheap like dog' items are not normally oversold, although they are usually in limited quanitities.
Since our Store Inventory and Internet Inventory are the same, sometimes someone in-store purchases an item at the same time an Internet order is placed.
The person in the store has it in their hand, and goes to checkout while we are beginning to pull the Internet customers' order. Then the internet staff can't find the item because it has been sold in-store.
This is why sometimes we have to call and cancel. We don't want to, it's something that happens pretty rarely. We work very hard to pull the internet orders as soon after the order is placed as possible, but it is sometimes unavaoidable.
We hope you understand, and look forward to your continued business with SierraSnowboard.com

Yeah, the thumbholes would've been cool to have. I just got my 686 top in yesturday and was a little disappointed that they were not there, but regardless, it's still worth the 10 spot, I love the top!
