My friends and I have been planning on hitting up Utah in late January or early-mid Feb next year for about a week. Looking to board for maybe 5 days. Just want something with good runs. Any recommendations on which 5 resorts I should check out while i'm there?

imo riding a different resort each day would cause you to miss out on a lot. for instance, the canyons is so big that theres no way you could see all the goods in 1 day. i know i love snowbird and 1 day there just wouldn't cut it for me haha.

Snowbird, The Canyons, Park City. if it was my trip, i would skip park city all together and just split the 5 days between snowbird and canyons.

what's wrong with park city? seems like it doesn't get much love around the forums but no one really has an answer why they don't like it.

Flat, hippsters, thuged out skiers by the millions, not as much powder, low elevation, way touriesty, park used to be good, the drive, the town, the people, the state and the fact I don't ride there.

I just came here to rep Brighton. I didn't do any park or backcountry, but the rest of the mountain was awesome.

Tip: local ski shops sell discounted lift tickets. Check out the Lift House on Fort Union Blvd. near Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd.
Nothing to it but to do it.

Thanks for the heads up on lift tix. I was looking online but thought there could be issues when it came to pickups @ each resort. So far we're thinking we'd try Park City, Canyons and Deer valley. I'm not much of a park rider so don't care much for PC but like to hit the backcountry more. I'm sure we'll play it by ear and see what we feel like as it gets closer to the trip.

Thanks to everyone and their input. Cheers!

I'm guessing it's gonna be a waste of money for this place. A friend just wouldn't let this one go. He kept saying something about heated lifts and something about a buffet? I would've went with Snowbird or Alta. Tell me now so I can try and change his mind while there's time.

A group of friends and I are going mid feb, and are planning on park city first day since it's free with a boarding pass from that day, and then snowbird and canyons.

Alta???  please tell me your not serious.  Deer Valley and Alta are 2 of the 3 resorts left in the world that don't allow boarders.
My personal picks would be first Brighton, then snowbird, then the Canyons or PC.  These are the best resorts in Utah.  Anyone denying this probably has very little experience.

Thanks for the heads up.

But like I said, it's still up in the air as to which resorts we plan to hit up. I don't have any knowledge of Utah resorts at all that's why I started this thread.
