In the DC area Sierra snowboards are on sale with Groupon!
I'm surprised no one posted yet (I did a search for "groupon")

It looks like House is trying to get rid of all the Sierra snowboards.

$220 for womens and $250 for mens.
also includes a gift of your choice.

I think it's the point that the House is pulling out all stops to move old Sierra product ASAP.

yeah, it definitely isn't much of a discount.
but for people that don't frequent this site, it may look like a discounted price.

I find it hard to believe that TruSnow would be a smaller department there. I have seen the prices from the House and they are know where close to what we will ever pay on here. I can only imagine TruSnow make them plenty of money, though i guess the House also offers summer stuff

For sure.  MSRP on the Reverse Crew is what, like $600?  It's probably a made up number, but then when they discount it by 50%, it looks like an incredible deal even though paying $300 for it is still probably a little overpriced, IMO.

Nope never received it. Doug even said in one of the Forum's that it's suppose to automatically generate. It didn't. I guess when you have horrible customer service your company tends to start losing business. I miss the Sierra Days.

I didn't know that they weren't sending out coupon codes any more. I would recommend trying to contact one of the employees.

I wouldn't be surprised if the company is going under....the deals aren't that good anymore and most people buy somewhere else after they read product reviews on this website.

Wow, I'm glad you guys aren't running my company. The last thing I want is to be holding onto inventory. It's kind of the name of the game to try to offload old inventory, isn't it? Or would you rather hear they're hoarding it?

The members coupons are a bonus. If they do end up not giving them out no one's at a loss. My money says that it's the busy season and they have more important things to do. If I end up with a goggle coupon for hitting a number of points, awesome. If not, cool. It'll help clear out the forums and review sections.

I wouldnt quite panic that the sky is falling yet.

Go to the house.

Go look at the sierra boards.

Go type in an order number that is your highest expectations for a store to reasonably carry.

Be amazed that they have MUCH MORE than that still left!

Have a laugh at QUITE how many sierra boards still exist.

Come back to this thread and tell us all that just maybe they probably need to start reducing the price of their sierra boards if they hope to have any chance of selling them all before the next decade. Groupon is the very LEAST they can be doing here. The clock is ticking and these boards are soon going to be OFFICIALLY three seasons old, (or is it 4?) and people have a natural disinclination to buy beyond the three year point because they (somewhat erroneously) believe that technology is WAY more advanced now LOL

obviously you want to sell items, but having so many items that are 3 or 4 years old and still not getting rid of them and now seeing them in other places like this isnt necessarily a good sign. And with the members coupons, yes it is a bonus, but it seems to be a trend with horrible customer service that isnt getting any better, and that is definitely not a good sign. If customer service goes down, sales go down, and if that happens your business goes down. Im not saying that the business is going under but it sure doesnt seem like its getting better
I honestly hope im wrong in my assumptions though, this is a great site and id hate to see it go under

If you find out a product is bad, why would you go to another site to buy it?
Why would you even buy a BAD product at all?
People rely on reviews too much, like for goggles or boots.
The best boot is the one that fits your foot, the tech put in is great but your foot doesn't care about the tech if it fits terribly.

Same deal with goggles, if they don't fit your face, they're going to fog up.
Long hair don't care!

jigkidd makes an excellent point. if they thought the reviews are bad, wouldnt you look for another product? why would you go "on ts says its bad, but the house says its good, therefore thehouse's _____ board is better'' just doesnt make sense

it's probably a good move to get those interested in snowboarding, a decent board for a cheap price without having to spend time on this website. I also think most beginners don't know about TS or Sierra boards. All they hear is Burton, burton, burton. but with this groupon theyre able to attain a larger client base and do a little advertising.3

lower your prices (to the outside public, not counting us), and sell more product. then profit.

Good grief!  I am a couple weeks from the free goggles and if they end it before the end of the year, I'm going to be so upset.  I did plan to also buy some other stuff with the 15% discount, but they'll lose me as a customer if they pull that.  Makes no sense to buy another company with a huge following only to kill it.  That doesn't make your company any more appealing to us.

Well if they do end the point system or go under they should atleast honor the coupons that people deserve, instead of just not giving them.
Worst I had was wonderful.

you guys considered that maybe the delay is because they are finally spending some time to update the system so it works as its suppose to? (non 2012 items only, the glitch, the international shipment requirements)

if they were going to spend time to update the system, don't you think they would spend a little time in the community?
